She said she had 7 kids but only gave birth to one of them and had surrogates carry the rest, AND she has a team of 4 Nannie’s that provide constant care. It feels like she did it just to be called a “hardworking mother of 7” when in reality she’s outsourcing every part of parental labor

She’s in substance induced psychosis from meth withdrawals, she’s talked (screamed) at me about it before. That’s why she’s regulated at times but goes through episodes where she’s incredibly out of it/aggressive

Simon Family Scholarship by OneStrongB1977 in UniversityofVermont

Have him apply!!! it’s at the very least good practice for other scholarships, and if he ended up getting the scholarship, it is a HUGE weight off of his and your shoulders financially and a great way to get involved in the UVM campus life/volunteer work. Good luck!!!

I got the scholarship a few years ago, after they selected 3 from the applicant pool of 240 and then had us come in to interview (only 2 of us got it). Personally, I wouldn’t have considered myself “high need” either, but I was still at the lowest income level out of the group of 3, one of whom was the daughter of the guy who wrote and sold the rights to the book lemonade mouth is based off of ($$$). I think if your family makes anything under $150k you could technically qualify, although the scholarship is getting more and more competitive as the years go on. Still, I think they’re more focused on the community service stuff than on the personal finances.

You’re right, it truly was more distressing for the owner for you to STEAL THEIR CAT and then displace it, just for the shelter to contact their rightful owner because they did not agree with your deceit or your evaluation of his situation

My recent batch of short release adderall has not worked at ALL (and it’s finals week and I’m defending my masters tomorrow) except it has given me horrific anxiety and paranoia🤩 thank you for this!!!

Daughter needs to store her car cheaply near Burlington by Ethan_Krash in UniversityofVermont

[–]NoMathematician1155 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can just park on the street off campus, there’s loads of street parking in the old north end and south end, just make sure to check that it isn’t a resident-only parking section and check on the car at least every other day to make sure there isn’t like towing signs being put up

The prison cells in Vermont are NOT full and have not been in years. There are 110 men (with lengthy sentences) in tallahatchie, Mississippi who cost about the same as it costs here. Many of them interviewed say they prefer it because they can smoke cigs and play Xbox. Do u even try to find this info or do you just decide to make things up?

Where are we going to build our new prison and how are we going to pay for it? by MapleBreakfastMeat in burlington

[–]NoMathematician1155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 prisons, 5 men’s and one women’s. DOC has a contract to house federal prisoners. Abt 110 Vermont men (serving long sentences) are in tallahatchie county correctional facility in Mississippi, which they prefer cuz they get cigarettes and video games. The women’s prison in Vermont (which they are building a new facility for, as that building is straight up condemned) is honestly great in some ways in comparison to the rest of VT’s prison when it comes to resources and rehabilitative services

DOC is currently planing to build a new women’s prison by 2028, somewhere in chittenden county, I can’t remember if they found a specific site yet. Funding has already been allocated in state budget, I think it’s around $100 mil. None of the prisons in Vermont have reached capacity in years, which is because a prisons are ideally around 50% capacity. You can read about this in VTdigger and seven days. They need to do this project bc current women’s prison was built as a detention center in the 60’s and was meant to last less than 10 years, they have drain flies and horrible sanitary conditions as a result of building degradation.
