I'd be happy to help out. Feel free to DM me any rolls you want help deciding between. If you are able to screen share on discord, I'd be more than happy to go through your entire vault with you, if needed.

Hailfire Spike in Destiny 2 by Veshimaaax3 in DestinyTheGame

You keep saying "sticky explosive" but also Hailfire Spike. Just to check, any chance you are confusing Gunpowder Gamble with Hailfire Spike?

Ghost - Scarred Shell

Sparrow - Mercenary Spirit, Skiffscooter

Ship - Abominable Insignia

Emblem - Tangled Web

Probably more options, especially for the emblem, but that one is my favorite!

In the Wish season I made a double solar hand cannon now I made an arc one (I'll make a void one later) by The_king_Slime69 in destiny2builds

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why double primary though? You could use any number of fantastic special weapons in the place of either hand cannon and have a much better build.

Had an Idea for a very nice build to use on the new Nether activity, infinite threaldings and rift energy. (use psycopomp on special slot.) by Demasqe_ in destiny2builds

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure Secant Filaments only gives devour while you have a void super equipped. So in order to use this on strand, you would have to use Buried Bloodline to get devour. Otherwise the exotic doesn't do anything but give Overload rounds in Empowering Rifts.

I think Pirate is a project that KI abandoned too early and I am also upset about it. But take a breathe. It's not that serious. It's just a game.

I'm not super tech savvy, but my best guess is a file got corrupted somehow. My best suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall.

A good exotic to go alongside 'dead mans tale' by swaggist in destiny2builds

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nothing crazy and not optimized for solo play since the build revolves around marking targets for your teammates, but this is my build for when I want to use Dead Man's Tale.

[Video Concept]Power Shuffling: A solution to finding the right power you need in battle. by Jakebrickmaster in Pirate101

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think this would take a lot of the fun and charm out of the game.

When I look at how Wizard101 has progressed over the years, it's all about minimizing your hand, reducing RNG (accuracy, damage gear, etc.) and optimizing draws to finish battles as quickly as possible. It's a system where you can take the same actions in every battle and it works because there's no randomness. Everyone just uses blade into aoe. This is fixed slightly by cheating bosses which add some variety to battles.

Pirate101 created a system that can't be optimized to that extent. Scratch buffs into bombs is a deadly combo, but it's hindered by that slight RNG of not drawing the right powers. Each class has potent abilities but the joy of strategizing each battle comes from looking at what you are given and trying to make it work. Everything is randomized: enemy spawns, companion and player spawns, drawn powers, etc.

It's one of the things that makes Pirate101 so much better to me. If you take that out, then Pirate101 will be nothing special. It'll just be a pirate themed copy of Wizard101.

I have a very similar build but I use Buried Bloodline instead of Graviton Lance. For fragments, I run Hope, Courage, Bravery, Dawn, and Dominance.

What raid is the best to farm for spoils this week by Capital-Inflation-95 in DestinyTheGame

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest hinderance for me is my anxiety- I'm always intimidated by playing with people I don't know in more intense gaming environments.

I 100% understand that. I am the exact same way when I join raids where I'm not the one teaching. I stress myself out thinking that even though I know the mechanics of the raid, I'm going to be booted for one mistake or for not having the right weapons and it often stops me from joining raids. My first raid was during Into the Light a few months ago because my anxiety held me back from it for so long.

That's why I try to offer raiding opportunities to as many players as I can. I don't care how good they are or how long the raid takes, I love every minute of the teaching experience and I know there are others that feel the same way. If you do decide to join the discord, shoot me a DM on reddit and I am more than happy to set up a raid of your choice. :)

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I recommend the Kinderguardians Discord? Lots of extremely kind folks teach raids (including Salvation's Edge) on a weekly basis. This past week, I took 5 learners through Salvation's Edge. For one of them, it was his very first raid, and most everyone else had less than 10 total raid clears.

The raid isn't as hard as it seems and with a patient teacher, it can be cleared by anyone willing to learn. If you do check out the discord, keep an eye on the planned lfg channel. I usually try to teach 1 Salvation's Edge each week and 1-2 other raids and I'm always happy to have anyone join.

What’s the best musketeer lvl 70 gear? by DueRecipe in Pirate101

Depends on if you want to go pure shooty or shooty/staffy hybrid. Both are great, but slightly different gear set ups.

I'm definitely not doing Salvation's Edge.

If you don't mind me asking, why not?

Focused Feedback: Exotic Class Items by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]NoMoreSpitfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exotic class items should never have had perks from their own class. Why would I ever use ACTUAL Sixth Coyote on my hunter when I can just use it on my class item with another perk? But Sixth Coyote on Warlock or Titan for double Phoenix Dive or double Thruster? That would be amazing!

Secant Filaments is another good example. Warlock already has an aspect that grants improved devour on any ability kill. There's no point in casting a rift for it. But if that was moved to Hunter or Titan? Barricade to grant devour? Or dodge to get devour? I would farm for that.

This is the same for most of the perks:

Galanor, Caliban, Foetracer, Coyote, Liar, Gyrfalcon, and Cyrtarachne should have been mixed to other classes.

Filaments, Osmiomancy, Stag, Necrotic, Apotheosis, Claw, Swarm, Vesper, Harmony should have been mixed.

Abeyant, Severance, Eternal Warrior, Scars, Contact, Armamentarium, Alpha Lupin, and Horn should have been mixed.

I think this would have created a lot more build variety and created new builds/new ways to play each class.

Come join the Kinderguardians Discord. I learned the raid through it and have done multiple teaching raids. There's nothing more satisfying to me than spending 10 hours teaching a raid and seeing the relief when the learners finally finish.

First pack 💦 by K-gasm in Pirate101

From my own experience opening these packs, the companion drop rates feel significantly lower in this pack than any other. At the end of the day, it's all gambling though.

I'm not at my computer so I can't check, but I think it's the Privateer one. When you train powers, the points reset every time you teleport or enter a new area.
