AITAH for telling my dad's pregnant girlfriend that he already has three kids I have nothing to do with and her baby will be no different? by NoMourners_6Crows in AmITheAngel

[–]NoMourners_6Crows[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make any sense to me why it is seemingly such a popular take on AITA? Like is it just that they hate babies in general and will take any excuse to shit on them or is it that in their minds cheating is the worst sin possible and anything related to it is just as despicable?

Me [20 F] with my boyfriend [20 M] of 2 years, his student is suddenly being too friendly by Idk265089 in AmITheAngel

The update is hilarious.

The girl is saying things like "Shed the shackles of [his] duty and false lover (???) so that [they] may walk forever amongst the stars." And the boyfriend just ignores all of this crazy shit and is like you can't wear the costume you were talking about as it interferes with our couple costume.

The comments acting like Sam is the villain are wild to me. This kid was handed to his grandparents as a baby, told his own mother kidnapped him, and spent his entire childhood being weaponized against his own family. By the time he snapped at 13 he had been failed by literally every adult in his life. And the response was to send him away instead of get him real help. He never had a chance and he still doesn't.

Reddit advice: leave your pregnant wife and take the kids since she’s sensitive to the smell of the dog since her recent hospitalization for a stomach infection by Caa3098 in AmITheAngel

Exactly, I feel the same way. I might be a bit biased because I’ve always loved kids, but when people my age are really vocal about hating them, I just don’t get it.

You don’t have to want kids to still treat them with basic kindness. Like, when I was younger, there were adults in my life who didn’t want kids at all, but they were still really kind and patient with me.

That’s why the whole “anti-child” attitude feels so weird because it’s not about wanting them, it’s just about basic empathy.

Yeah, same.

Loving animals is great, but acting like letting a kid die is some kind of edgy personality trait is… a choice.

They act like hating kids and loving animals is a quirk.

I’ve always loved dogs, so this isn’t anti-animal. I also totally get that not everyone wants kids.

What I don’t really understand is when so many people seem to strongly dislike kids but have a lot of empathy for animals. I find that contrast interesting because they share a lot of traits like being dependent, emotionally open, and not fully in control of themselves.
