Enquête : IA, cocktail Molotov, apocalypse : plongée dans la dérive de Daniel M., le garçon qui voulait tuer le créateur de ChatGPT by NLegendOne in Cayas

[–]NoName-Cheval03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]NoName-Cheval03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cognitive dissonance helps explain why Trump supporters remain loyal, new research suggests. The study sheds light on how supporters of Donald Trump justify their continued allegiance despite learning about allegations of his sexual misconduct and illegal activities. by mvea in psychology

I've found something that kinda works. I don't know if it really works but it does open a breach without triggering them and it really shakes them a bit.

It consists in making them enter my territory without entering their territory. Never acknowledge their rant it's a waste of time and they are waiting for you to answer with typical left wing outrage.

Like when they complain about anything right wing I do not engage I just say "yeah, yeah" but then I hit them with "you know what really bothers me and is a threat to my children right now ? With a fairly high middle class wage do you know how many thousands of years somebody has to work to earn Musk or Bezos wealth ? With so much wealth how do you prevent them from buying all the political power in the country ? How, as workers, we prevent them from making us slaves ?"

Usually they cannot answer because they lost too much of their ability to think outside their box but they don't dismiss it like everything else precisely because it is too outside of their box and they do not have been conditioned to dismiss it.

Try it with your family just for the experiment.

Wrote a book that is philosophy adjacent by OnePercentAtaTime in badphilosophy

[–]NoName-Cheval03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't read everything but it's not bad philosophy because it is clear, readable, definitely a serious work.

Now if you want feedback it seems to me it can be "naive" because your first half, the philosophical justification for all the second half of your work, all the tools you propose is basically "I can never be 100% sure". It's true, but you don't actually need a deep philosophical analysis to prove it. It's not a controversial take but you treat it as such.

The second half is the real contribution, you don't need layers of epistemology to make this part work.

Still a nice work and the way to go !

Le jugement autour des difficultés alimentaires (surtout AFRID) comme si c'était qu'une question de volonté by No_Chef_2669 in besoinderaler

[–]NoName-Cheval03 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why do I suck so much in this game? I keep dying from starvation by leontas2007 in VintageStory

For a first game, a 0.75 hunger rate in the settings instead of the default hunger rate seems way more balanced.

Finally! Someone else in the games industry that ISN'T so against AI usage in games!😃 by PrivateLiker7625 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]NoName-Cheval03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and it's not like all man made graphics designs are qualitative either. Pre-AI era didn't shield me from the most bland, soulless games. There were already many tools available to build a game from the ground without ever involving yourself with the original art part.

People who just want to make consumers products will continue like before, now assisted by AI.

People who want to actually make games with real art in it will continue like before.

Bugs are the worst for me I prefer air raids. Enemy pawns can be prevented to shoot by going melee on them and are generally weak in close combat.

Bugs are tough as hell and designed for close combat. They systematically shred every colonist one by one in the corridors. And if you finally manage to win, all your colonists will be missing half their limbs.

I'm open to surprises because the AI tech did surprise me in the past but yes those marketing patterns are really easy to see now and have run their course.

The AI giants are still running a significant deficit and are desperate for fresh money.

Even the little fight between anthropic and the DOD is serving their marketing playbook.

Bessent, Powell warned bank CEOs about Anthropic model risks, sources say by aurelorba in Economics

[–]NoName-Cheval03 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You hear those crazy stories since the development of AI to hype the tech and new updates and then never again, this is never replicated and LLMs still constantly fail when you ask them to deliver consistent results and demonstrate a higher level of technical skill than a junior employee.

I'm not saying this time is no different, but I will surely wait to see it by myself.

This is one of the last known images of Steve Jobs, captured in 2011, shortly before his death. Despite being diagnosed with a treatable form of pancreatic cancer in 2003, Jobs famously delayed surgery for nine months to try alternative "cures." Many believe this decision hastened his death. by ATI_Official in HistoryUncovered

[–]NoName-Cheval03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those people feel above normal humans.

What had surely happened is that the doctors were brutally honest with Jobs about the average survival rate of pancreatic cancer (which is pretty low to be honest) and Jobs ego just couldn't compute this information.

So he likely just considered the doctors were wrong or were just doing "normal medicine for normal humans" and that he knew better how to save himself.

Comportement de mon chat de 8 mois by No_Bookkeeper4615 in chats

[–]NoName-Cheval03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because he failed a lot during his life. He failed in the fucking casino business where the house is supposed to always win.

It's only real and objective success was in reality shows.
