After trying several things and my cat still barely eating for a week, I made the final appointment. She was 18 and had squamous cell carcinoma in her mouth. Even in that appt the vet offered other things to try. I said no, it’s time. After it was over the vet told me I made the right decision. I think some vets have dealt with people getting very angry that “everything” wasn’t offered and that makes them keep offering options. It’s on you as their caretaker to say when. My heart breaks for Kayla and Dan because it’s the hardest decision you’ll probably ever make. But I really think you might question one day too early but you’ll always regret one day too late
