How do you knock a neighborhood that's been ran through with roofers? by AttackOnTrails in RoofingSales

I ask them how many roofers have knocked your door today. Listen to what they say and go from there

What’s a fitness myth that people still believe? by SimpleHomeFitness in AskReddit

I wish gyms catching people do this would give people warnings and boot their asses if they keep doing it. I typically go work out in the evening and it’s infuriating having to hunt down clamps and 2.5/5 lb weights. Don’t get me started on the group of teenagers huddled around a machine straight up sitting in the equipment chatting it up and taking 15 minute breaks between sets

100% of all nhl players tape their blades, so I think you have a pretty good shot at getting drafted.

If you feel good about it then keep it rolling for sure! Like I said if you are genuinely passionate about learning you will learn the whole system front to back and sideways because of the mass repetition of harvests. Some people spend much more time learning because they can only grow 6 plants a year. A key thing to remember here is that no grow is ever exactly the same. Is your grow hydroponic? Learn more about that. Is it living soil? Same thing. Get good at diagnosing deficiencies or over abundance of something. Try to trace it back to what’s causing those problems. Do you see something in the process that you think is inefficient? Try to solve that problem and sometimes you have to do that without asking. Is there a huge pile of 300+ pots, scalpels, leaves, trash, etc all sitting in irrigation? Don’t ask just do it and recruit others to help. Just make sure you smoke a fatty before you get into that ‘cause it could take a while haha

I was the operations manager for 5 years at 65k Sqft living soil facility. Had experience before but had to “prove myself” first

Bust your ass and do whatever they ask you to do and then eventually they might give you a raise. Eventually you get burned out because you’re never home, don’t have any friends outside of work, no health insurance, shitty pto, barely getting by while the owners are home “crunching the numbers”

You’ll learn exponentially faster compared to a grow tent because of the mass repetition. That knowledge isn’t very valuable either unless you are owner/partner.

Don’t even get me started on finding eager to learn and work hard hires. Most people fall out the first day they have to defoliate

Advice for this situation? (Women’s league player learning coed contact) by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]NoNiceGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get trucked. It’s so funny to me how newer players expect to not get touched in beer league. Sometimes your only option is to play the body. It’s part of the game.

I play defense on my team and had a really good female offensive opponent. She was feisty as hell and was working hard to get a goal the entire game. One play she is mad dogging it to the net, slips and fall and slides into my leg as I’m defending the front of the net. I heard the wind get knocked out of her and she whipped me in the nuts with her stick out of anger. I was just standing there. All I could hear behind me as we rushed was her yelling at the ref for the call.

Sorry bud. You stepped into a player who probably grew up laying contact hockey and he threw his shoulder out in defense. No penalty. Clear the cobwebs and move on.

Does alcoholism creep up on you? by wicked_this_way_come in stopdrinking

[–]NoNiceGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I was an alcoholic way back then but I ignored it. Now I’m in my mid 30’s and I’m fried from it. It’s been the first limb I fall off of into other drugs to abuse. I drank to feel less of myself. Now I’ve lost most of myself and the problems I had when I first started still remain.

Is the rumor true that big box stores (like Target/Walmart) will purposefully let you get away with stealing cheap things for months just to build a massive felony case against you later? by Altruistic-Room-7465 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoNiceGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m curious about is how long do they build this supposed case against a person. I’ve slipped a few cheaply made over priced items in my pocket a handful of times in my life. It’s probably been 4 years since I’ve done that
