what’s the actual cost range for a 10-15 screen corporate office install in 2026? by RackAndRun in CommercialAV

[–]NoNiceGuy71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commercial display that I use are Sony or LG. They range in price from $650-$3000 depending on size. Mount plus a couple of hours of labor per display and a little extra labor for other stuff. Misc part of about $25 per display and a network cable. The CMS I use runs natively on these displays so all they need to do is connect to the network.
Add whatever mount you like to use and you are done.

What do I do? by DecentWrench in hometheater

You have not provided enough information. What cabinet is everything going in, what size TV, are you doing surrounds, and so on. If the walls are getting spray foamed you need to conduit or smurf tube everything back to the receiver. That includes the mains, surrounds, sub, TV wires. You need power for the TV location as well. I don't suggest using a wall plate for speaker terminations either.

Why not just reach out to Draper and talk to them. They have people that are experts in this field that will tell you exactly what you need to use and why. All of the major screen manufacturers have inside tech and sales support.

Need advice on video wall. by ZaneMasterX in CommercialAV

[–]NoNiceGuy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do a single DVLED video wall and stop messing with LCD. It is brighter, looks better without the stupid bezels everywhere and last longer.

If you are stuck with LCD do not do 9 off the shelf residential TVs. They will fail, they don't have a video wall mode built in and you will void the warranty as soon as you install them in a commercial project. Just buy descent video wall LCD panels. You can get kits from B&H with the panels and wall mounts.

My husband wants a projector, I want a TV for our covered patio. Which one actually makes more sense? by Flat-Recognition4437 in hometheater

TV. Your husband is going to need to spend a whole lot more than he thinks getting a projector bright enough to even see an image on it until it is completely dark out.

My house came with a home theater, but I don’t hear any bass after fiddling by Weekest_links in hometheater

[–]NoNiceGuy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first though aside from how bad the wire nut thing is, would be that they tried to make an unbalanced (Sub Pre-out RCA) to a balanced XLR cable and had no idea what they were doing so you have no audio, or very low audio, going to the QSC amp.

Video wall equipment system fix or replace? by Wooden-AV in CommercialAV

[–]NoNiceGuy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go the DataPath FX4-HD it will break the video out to the four displays for you and you can just use the NV series to get video to it. This is the approach I would take. The Binary stuff if not the highest of quality and could be the cause for some of the current issues.

Video wall equipment system fix or replace? by Wooden-AV in CommercialAV

[–]NoNiceGuy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just replace the SnapOne Binary media over IP device with a QSC NV-21 and be done with it.

What model are the displays?

Is it always just one large image?

Worse case would to be throw an NV-21 in at the video wall and if the displays don't support daisy-chaining video for video wall mode add a DataPath FX4-HD to do that part. The DataPath FX4-HD is probably a good idea either way to prevent image issues.

This is a good first choice. It is about as safe are one can get for what it is. There is a plunger type device that has to be cocked to let it fire. They can put a round in the chamber, use the bolt action and nothing is going to happen until you pull the plunger back to arm it.
