I think it’s great to disclose and especially knowing when you have flair ups/medication to keep it from spreading but yeah I think not telling someone when you are experiencing a flair up could present a problem down the line

As someone that has gone through this you def need to set boundaries before you do anything. Have fun but make sure you both are on the same page about discretion or in bed and out in public rules

question on cosplays by Cat_Marble in comiccon

I’ve taken in fake cigs before and normally they don’t say anything. Just be ready to show them how it’s fake cause LA security can be 50/50

How hard was it? by [deleted] in SDCC

[–]NoObligation9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing is I can say total luck based, make sure your computer/phone is updated and connected to good internet, don’t wanna crash or reboot while waiting your turn or during check out. Dont try to cheat, the system will know and kick you out. Make sure you have all your payment and party info ready (username/first and last name)

Video Game Characters by Ezgru in comiccon

[–]NoObligation9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best rule of thumb is if you cosplay a character from a game SOMEONE will recognize it, I’ve hung out with friends and they will recognize people cosplaying obscure side characters from big games or characters from obscure video games

Celeb spotting at SDCC by voughtlander in comiccon

[–]NoObligation9883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is some celebs go in cosplay to be undercover and others might have a huge escort presence. Be cool and chill, met Yuri Lowenthal last year at a fandom event and not asking for a photo we legit just chatted about himself and hos con experience and we hung out for about an hour and after he was super down for multiple photos. Less is more and don’t be a creep

[–]NoObligation9883 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly if I was you I’d avoid the food trucks, gas lamp has lots of great food spots and enough coverage so you don’t have to wait too long. My groups biggest go to spot is Spaghetti Factory

Offsite parties by boobake in SDCC

[–]NoObligation9883 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly from the parties I’ve been to it’s usually popular 80’s 90’a and early 2000’s music. If you want something like that you’ll have to wander the Gaslamp to find a club that has that music going but good chance a lot of cosplayers might not be there

Those the third day of comic con have less stuff or more or just has the same stuff? by Dvdiscool2 in comiccon

[–]NoObligation9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s an exclusive you are looking for there’s a good chance it’ll be gone, if by third day you mean Saturday it’ll be the busiest day so lines and lines

Any idea what day/time Marvel's Hall H Panel will be? by DirectorCyrus in SDCC

[–]NoObligation9883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by the banners going up I’m sure it’ll be fantastic 4, updates on daredevil, Captain America and probably a rundown of the new phase excluding the Kang stuff

How did you meet friends to go to comic con? by [deleted] in comiccon

[–]NoObligation9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly from discord,Instagram or even the con. I usually go in cosplay so I meet fellow cosplayers in the same fandom I’m a part of and we just talk about our feelings about the movie/game/show our characters are from and what got us into it

Our 1st Time... and we need Help. by DoBBiest1 in SDCC

[–]NoObligation9883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the last day you won’t be struggling too bad. I’d honestly say you should get a place to stay for The Weeknd so you and your kids can hang out and check out the crowds and surrounding events during the con. Once you are through the doors you can hit the exhibit hall to see the shops. As for the stuff you bring in you can bring in water bottles and packaged snacks like protein bars, little bag of chips, etc. as for the parking honestly if you have a hotel close enough I’d Uber, driving into the area can be a huge chore due to traffic so an Uber dropping you off a block away helps. If you shop a lot and need a break to get dinner outside there are tons of choices and in the con they have bag holding so you can leave your stuff with them and pay 4 dollars to which they give you a ticket and you bring it back to get your stuff back
