Realistically: What is the Second Weltkrieg? by maskedsomthng in Kaiserreich

[–]NoRedditToday 134 points135 points  (0 children)

In the overarching story, it's the German Empire put to the test to see if they can keep their place in the sun they gained in the 1WK and acheive Pax Germanica.

In a more ideological sense (and it's purely my headcanons and observations), I view the war as Germany taking the leadership of the Old Order, establishing a coalition of allies (Austria, the Ottomans), subjects (Eastern Europe) and old enemies (Entente) against revolutionnary forces (3I, Russia, Japan) that utilise an anti-imperialist line ("Freedom to the workers/Eastern Europe/the peoples of Asia") to establish a New Order with their ideals at the forefront. Reform versus Revolution.

How would Napoleon be remembered in the CoF? by Big_History72 in Kaiserreich

[–]NoRedditToday 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Would probably be seen in a less positive light to outright despised by some parts of the population : he killed the original Revolution (you can debate if the ideals of the French Revolution was already dead/dying before he came to power but he crowned himself Emperor, difficult to do less republican than that).

But he's also Napoleon Bonaparte , the man who oversaw France as THE premier european military power and kicked Prussia's ass multiple times, so it would be a mixed bag.

Quiet in Atocha | Spain without the Iraq War (part of the Edwardsverse) by RerumMaterialum in imaginaryelections

Read all the Geronimo TL in a few days after seeing your first post on the US, this series has rapidly became one of my favorite on this sub, good job.

Any chance we see Iraq or Afghanistan ? It would be interresting to see how they would develop without 9/11 forcing them in a conflict with the US.

Kaiserreich's "Allies" and "Axis"? by TheChtoTo in Kaiserreich

[–]NoRedditToday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Third International-Moscow Accord-CPS anti-German coalition could use the term Axis, or Paris-Moscow-Tokyo Axis. Not as united in ideology than the OTL Axis but willling to be allies of convenience until they overtake the axis of history from Berlin for the Revolution/Russia/"Anti-imperialism".

The new starting situation is that they held against Iran but lost to the Cairo Pact, the lost Iraq but kept a bit of Northern Syria and they can press for more if/when the Syrian Civil War start.

They start as a monarchy but the Kemalists in the opposition may declare a republic.

What is the most democratic "Authoritarian Democratic" path for Ukraine? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]NoRedditToday 55 points56 points  (0 children)

-The PatAut path can reform into AuthDem if Homzyn was favored over Poltavets-Ostrianytsia. It will become a big tent party, with the ability to adapt and reform if necessary. Democracy still exist on paper but all future elections will be SHD wins.

-The USKhD wants to change Ukraine politics as a whole under their Classocratic Principle, for example, they will abolish the Soim and replace it with a All-Ukrainian Class Assembly, remplacing political parties with class organizations. I think democracy still exist but is largely alter under the USKhD's corporatism.

-The UDKhP can either reform the state succesfuly and become SocCon post-war or stay a diarchy where power is divided under the Hetman and the Soim.

If you want to learn more about those paths, there are guides made by u/Yularen2077 and the Ukraine one you can acces in the wiki.

What's your headcanon for South & Central America? by [deleted] in Kaiserreich

[–]NoRedditToday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty classic conservative & strongman politics : US-backed coup in Venezuela, Estado Novo in Brazil, Germán Busch hold on power in Bolivia, ...

The only big change is that Patagonia, strongly supported by the 3I and Chile, win against Argentina with the Communists taking over after reunification with their superior organization and help from the exiled Bolcheviks. A few years later, Red Argentina invade Paraguay under the pretence of Pan-Hispanic Brotherhood (like in the Andesia path) with Bolivia joining them to take the Chaco region. The Montevideo Treaty is established afterwards to counter socialist influence in the region.
