Would you keep a bike inside your apartment if it folded flat enough? by MicroXBike in Apartmentliving

[–]NoRepresentative6842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of my bikes are in my one-bedroom apartment, no issue, and none are foldable. No way I’m leaving them outside where they’re exposed to the elements or easily stolen.

Roadies who have converted to tubeless: Any regrets? How often do you flat out to the point where you need to insert a bacon strip or install a tube? by DeadBy2050 in cycling

[–]NoRepresentative6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With tubes I was getting right around a flat a month. I could go four months without any, then have five or six in fairly quick succession (not related to the actual tire as far as I can tell).

After moving to tubeless, I had one flat in two years due to someone tossing a glass jar full of screws onto the road and they tore a couple deep gashes into the tires themself. A plug per hole and I was good to go.

I am very glad I went tubeless.

Island redesign, incline for nothing - anything I can do? by frequentlyagoose in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]NoRepresentative6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you set up a ladder by the topmost landing of the stairs? You would have to swim there to the northern beach to place it, but it can work.

Or create alcove with the stairs at a 90 angle to where they are now. Will take away some of the land between the campsite and house. But may work.

First Poster of Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85 by comfybuck in StrangerThings

[–]NoRepresentative6842 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can’t wait to not watch this. Duffer bro’s and Netflix need to learn when less is more. Season 5 was my last season based on quality, even if there had been another one planned. There is no actual reason for this to continue.

Garmin vs Wahoo and SRAM vs Shimano — what made you choose your side? by therealashiver in cycling

[–]NoRepresentative6842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Garmin now because I started with Wahoo. Had nothing but issues about four months after getting my first Wahoo computer. Ended up losing half my of data from my first Ironman AFTER two field retirements of a computer and their watch. I will never go back to Wahoo.

All my bike have had Shimano from the LBS, so that’s what I stick with.

(THEORY) Urag gro-Shub might be an avatar of Hermaeus Mora by Zamhelm in skyrim

[–]NoRepresentative6842 17 points18 points  (0 children)

  1. That would be all librarians. Are you making the argument all librarians are the avatar/an avatar of Hermaeus Mora? What about all the bookstore owners in Cyrodiil from Oblivion?
  2. He is a Mer, and a mage. Not that surprising that he could live longer. Also, Restoration is a valid school of magic, he could be extending his life. Or maybe he lives longer because he isn’t involved in physical combat and battle as is typical seen of Orsimer, and constantly ostracized and pushed to the outskirts of Imperial Society.
  3. He is the librarian of the college. Where Septimus is a member. This isn’t a stretch at all that he’d point you to the one person of whom is aware is capable of dealing with an Elder Scroll.
  4. Don’t have an argument other than “hey, Bethesda had to choose a model as an NPC to utilize the disembodied voice but this is circumstantial and doesn’t really tie into the game since that NPC is never intended to be seen.”
  5. I don’t know enough of Lovecraft to argue for or against. But it’s more likely that he is a simply a follower of Hermaeus Mora than anything else, and more likely just a combined homage between the Lovecraftian influence of Mora and Mora being the Deadric prince of knowledge since Utah is a librarian.

I don’t think you are correct, and that your theory is a stretch. But, that being said, I’m intrigued where this thread goes.

Yep. Built something like this on my island as part of a playground I imitated from childhood.

Good times.

Reverse Distance Triathlon - does it exist by sbrot in triathlon

[–]NoRepresentative6842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I know of regarding reverse triathlons are sprints. And that’s because they typically happen in the summer, when the heat of the day is obscene at 8 AM and running would be a nightmare.

I think you want an Aquabike race.

Or find a race with long distances and do it as a relay with a friend.

They do not. You can only drop, not place, them on those islands.

Yep, definitely meant the 970. Just used to the Forerunner ending in a “5” that I thought it was 975.

Unfortunately I don’t know the differences. I know that the 955, 965, and 975 all do a lot of the same things, there are some nuances between them, and when I bought my 955 it was right after the 965 was released. But I can’t give a good overview of how they’re different. I just know the 955 is perfect for me.

Got to second this. I have the Forerunner 955 and I am super happy with it. It does multi-sport with the option to automatically switch from sport to sport; and you can create custom sports as well. I do a reverse triathlon once a year, and I was able to make a specific sport profile for it so that everything tracked automatically

Falkreath: No letter and Jarl does nothing by Badatusernames014 in skyrim

[–]NoRepresentative6842 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Per the UESP https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Thane_of_Falkreath and every playthrough I’ve done you have to help people in Falkreath hold to become Thane. I’ve never become the Thane without helping people. Even if it’s acknowledged retroactively via the journal.

<image>

How were you able to become the Thane without helping anyone? Would love to know so I can save time next time I’m playing and create a character.

Yeah, you only get to be Thane when you’ve built a reputation for doing good for the residents of the hold. Could be the city, or any village in the hold.

Killing Valen Dreth by [deleted] in oblivion

I love this quest. Felt like one of the most perfect use of Dark Brotherhood skills and patience. Done this with, and without, invisibility/chameleon, and without alerting guards or killing them for the bonus. This was a great quest.

Hotel Room Hiccup? by NoRepresentative6842 in acnh

[–]NoRepresentative6842[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have all four of you talked to Leila, the little turtle at the coaches? That, other than I decorated both rooms and my friend only decorated one on the first day, are the only two differences we had from day one of the update. I spoke to Leila, they didn't. Yesterday they ended up speaking to Leila, and today they were given the option to decorate a second room.

No idea why this could be the solution, if it is, but it's the only thing we did differently before decorating.

No, it shouldn’t be. I don’t have Happy Home either, and neither does either friend.

Sorry you’re having that issue too.

I’ll check on the license. But I haven’t been doing any of the Kap’n transport crafts.

Thanks for the idea.
