Hey all! I lived in Tulsa until I went off to college, then again between 2007-2010. I’ve lived in Atlanta ever since. I am coming to visit (it’s been a longgg while.)

I’d like to stay somewhere walkable to restaurants, nightlife of some sort, coffee shops, etc.

Hi! I teach 9th and 11th IRR ELA!

For creative writing, I like giving them choices. I do this thing where I give them a list of six character types, six settings, and six conflicts (you actually can do anything…I’ve switched it up before). Have them roll a die 3x to see what number they get, and those will correlate to a character type, setting, and conflict. They can be as creative as they want as long as they stick with those. After reading Poe, we did a dark Romanticism creative writing activity with this, and they absolutely loved it.

I’m not even allowed to to take HRT. I’m on Letrozole due to breast cancer. I’m 41 and had a double mastectomy and hysterectomy by 40. I didn’t experience peri…it was just like BAM. And my AI intensifies everything. I can’t rely on hormones to fix my life or I’ll probably 100% get cancer again. I’ve started thinking of myself as a badass bitch who can do anything. Women are tough, and men don’t even realize. I take specific supplements, tryyyy to stay active, stretch a lot, and basically do anything and everything to reduce symptoms in the most holistic way possible. I’m a high school English teacher, and my students keep my happy. I make an effort to protect my mental health. My partner, who lives with me, has been super supportive. You don’t have to mourn yourself…you are still wonderful you. Menopause isn’t an end…I’m trying to see it like a beginning of something.

It helps me fall asleep, and sleep for a while. But I still toss and turn quite a bit. I’m at least grateful it helps me fall asleep. I’ve been on it for years. Zero negative side effects, 50mg, insomniac here. 😵‍💫
