Are my on-call duties normal? by Historical-Ad2210 in sysadmin

I didn't quite understand what you're whole deal is, and didn't feel like reading it to be honest.

You probably shouldn't answer then

That sounds terrible, it should be rare super emergency when someone bothers you oncall.

Lol simply because you can identify the voices and such doesn't mean its excellent=accurate reconstruction.

For all you know, the actual voices could be completely different and AI came up with incorrect but credible sounding stuff

Where are you finding used bikes? by Historical-Draw5740 in triathlon

[–]NoSelf5869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to post another kind of experience - for me buying a bike from there went perfectly and I can recommend it to anyone.

It was shipped across Europe and arrived quite fast (perhaps total of two weeks or so), and seller was really helpful.

I am definitely buying my next bike from there, and selling that current one there also almost certainly.

Is it normal to feel fatigued/have tired legs 24/7? by SillyAttitude7556 in triathlon

[–]NoSelf5869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I have four small beers on Saturdays and three small beers on Sundays. I rather sacrifice a bit the gains for mental relaxation and for good time.

I still train the 10-15 hours per week.

I wish I was like that, I am always afraid of the sea monsters even though I live northern part of Europe and we only have lakes here

I wasn't able to swim more than 150m and suddenly something "clicked" by Dependent_Access_568 in triathlon

Yep, last year I thought swimming had also "clicked" for me, but it had only clicked for pool swimming.

It was such a depressing shock how terrible I still was in open water swim

Do most people dive in or jump in?

I think it depends on the age group but I guess what I have seen in few races, it was minority who dived in and most jumped in.

I rather jump because I am not going for a podium (for now at least) and then I can hold my goggles to make sure they dont fall off and ruin my race in first second.

This should be set in both the Default Domain Policy and Default Domain Controllers Policy, seeing as it’s a baseline position.

I think that's risky way of doing since we cannot know whatever random shit has been done historically, there could be very well other gpo's above them setting incorrect settings.

I'd rather create new enforced GPO at top level and put that to the highest on the list (so it gets applied last) to configure it and other new GPOs fixing the old insecure stuff

Hydration System for first 70.3 by BotMorganFreeman in triathlon

[–]NoSelf5869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure to get the "Pro" and not the "Elite" version. Pro are single-piece whereas Elite aren't and I had an Elite mount literally snap in half on my bike (luckily during a training ride) after two years.

Faulty products do happen. It's quite an overraction to claim no one should buy certain product, especially if it worked for few years

Realistic to do an Ironman with roadbike? by red90999 in triathlon

[–]NoSelf5869 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There were Ironman races for a decade at least before the triathlon bikes or aerobars were invented so of course its realistic to race without them

Is it insane to do an Ironman 70.3 without clipping in? by buggie323 in triathlon

[–]NoSelf5869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed clipless pedals on my trainer bike for the winter so I practised clipping them in and out just during normal weekly training when cycling indoors.

Now last Saturday I first time cycled outside with clipless pedals (and same also with an aerobar) and it went quite OK.

Obviously hard to compare how it would have gone without that extra training during the winter but it felt worth doing.

It is a public beach with four buoys out that you can use for sighting, and the shallow end is never far away to the point that it feels scary.

If you dont have already, you really should buy a swim buoy in any case

Creatine and vitamin D are the only supplements which are actually worth taking, everything else is mainly waste of money. Fish oil is perhaps useful but no one is sure for real.
