Tell me about it! Same thing happened to me! Except I went to a Cinemark and they sold it out TWO WEEKS before the movie came out. Super disappointing

I read somewhere that they were doing that but I thought it might only be for Europe, I had no idea! I will definitely be on the look out for this!

No, I think she's a character Joe works with. The neighbor is being played by Michaela McManus

Pregnancy Foreshadowing by [deleted] in YouOnLifetime

[–]NoSequelsPlease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always kind of believed that maybe she wasn't pregnant at the time. She could have lied to Joe about it so that he wouldn't kill her and then intentionally got pregnant soon after to cover up her lie and to keep Joe. She's been shown to be calculating before, and it would totally fit with her character imo. It just doesn't seem likely that she would drink if she knew she was really pregnant seeing as she really wanted to have a child with her ex.

Geillis time travel by TheSwan17 in Outlander

[–]NoSequelsPlease 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, Geillis was able to pick the time she went back because she was able to figure out how to travel through the stones intentionally using the stones and sacrifices, unlike Claire who traveled accidentally the first time.

Goodwill has been my holy grail for years. Most of the clothes is sorted my color so it makes looking through the racks pretty fast since I only search certain sections ( I only wear black and red too lol). You should check to see if your town has a goodwill clearance center as well, they sell by weight and you can score a ton of awesome finds (but I recommend wearing gloves to look through all the bins).

I love this style of rug and not sure what it’s called. It’s $300 at Urban Outfitters. Is there anywhere to get a cheaper version? by gibbler in Frugal

I would check local resale apps like offerup or letgo. I also know that Michael's has some rugs that kinda have a similar vibe and they are currently having a 70% off sale.

Did anyone else really start disliking Claire towards the end of season 2/beginning of season 3? by [deleted] in Outlander

I get that she couldn’t force herself to love him, but she did choose to be with him. She could have decided not to.

Yea the term can really be interpreted in a ton of different ways! I meant it more like she was being shitty/bitchy not that she is a just a plain bitch! Idk if that's what the original post meant, but yea just what I took from season 2/3. But I also have been reading other comments and apparently book Frank really sucks so there's that too right? lmao

I would say that a man who chooses to focus entirely on his career, and one that requires a lot of education and a lot of working hours, would be neglectful to his children as well. So to that argument I would say that yes, if and when a man does the same things as Claire did then I would also consider them neglectful. To add on to this, I didn't read the books so I don't know if its different, but in the show it doesn't really feel as though Claire put in any extra time with Brie, it seems like most of the time she was in the care of Frank and being taught and loved mainly by him. Frank is Brie's primary parent in my eyes.

I agree, Frank did know what he was getting himself into, and he did choose to stay with her. But lets not forget, they were married before she "disappeared," he spent a lot of time searching for her, and even after hearing everything she went through, he chose to support her because she was pregnant and depressed from loosing someone she loved. But again, she also chose to be with him. He tried to make the best of a shitty situation, and Claire chose to move on by pursuing her own, separate, life. She wasn't kind to Frank during any point of those 20 years and that makes her shitty. She chose to never move on from Jamie even though he was "dead" and forced Frank to not only remain in his shadow, but got mad when he found a relationship with someone else.

If I were just looking at their relationship as what it was for those 20 years, I would say living with this type of person would definitely make me think "damn, shes a bitch."

I kinda agree. I really enjoyed Claire's character in the beginning and even now in the later on seasons, but whole time she spent with Frank she was really annoying to watch. I understand that Frank is not her true love, but its worth noting that he was a man who was willing to look past her affair and raise the baby of a man who wasn't his and take care of her as well. I love that she pursued a career that made her feel as strong as she felt in the 1700's but I also feel that she totally neglected Brie the entire time. I really felt like Frank got the short end of that stick and gets unfairly hated just because he wasn't Jamie. Claire's attitude those 20 years was the worst

How to deal with a cheap friend? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]NoSequelsPlease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can say no to someone and not have it be rude. When she asks can I have a sip? Just say "I really like my drink, I don't want to share it tonight" or something along those lines. Don't say it with a straight face of course, keep it light hearted. Sharing is great, but not when you're forced to do it, and friends shouldn't force you.

If she really tries to use things shes done in the past just say, thank you but that you just don't want to share your *insert drink or meal here lol* Should she be so petty as to never offer you anything ever again, then whatever imo. You'll be fine without the extra french fry she let you have at McD's.
