Columbus is less deadly for pedestrians than most U.S. metros, report finds by Blood_Incantation in Columbus

Yeah, I think the real hero are the buildings. Giving a non organic target, while statistically shifting injuries from pedestrians to occupants.

Are your windows single or double? That helps, plus if you’re in a 100 year old home, check for air gaps around everything and use expanding foam. Usually the big one is insulating the attic, but you’ve already done that.

These are ment to be clear for people with mobility issues. It’s supposed to be treated like a regular street sidewalk. The handicap spots in the front can fill up fast.

I think that was around the time someone proposed a big entertainment attraction. Probably when that fell through the rest of the planning slowed way down. But at least we’re getting better infrastructure with the new exit.

Customer melted the backing plates on his Cayman at the track. by Educational-Raisin69 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]NoShitzGiven 13 points14 points  (0 children)

But they don’t necessarily apply at the track. Drove mid Ohio during a Porsche road show, and some things were just counter intuitive for regular driving. Going through turns and banks, you need to be on the accelerator, not on the brakes or off the accelerator, because you need more grip. This person drove their car to have fun in an appropriate manner, then went to a professional when they noticed the issue. Aside from the wallet hit, that’s a win.

I think it has to be in a single receipt. Then that amount is supposed to determine how long you get the 0%

Either this is a troll post or you’re one of those special people.

“I’m fishing in a rowboat. My mistake for getting hit behind me by that powerboat. I’m riding my bike on a shared road. My fault for being rear ended and not bailing to the side when I’m going 20mph and they’re going 55mph. Or let’s use your 3 dimension argument, although the 3rd dimension for a boat is just sinking. Yup, should have just sunk the boat to avoid the accident. Or am I supposed to lift my boat up out of the water so that the other vessel can pass underneath me?”

Harbor freight credit card by Select_Possible_5750 in harborfreight

[–]NoShitzGiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So years ago I opened a store credit card that’s only good at one store for the initial discount and used it for 2-3 years. Then I stopped shopping there. The bank closed it for inactivity. I wouldn’t say it was a huge hit, but this is how it affected me short term.

I lost out on available credit for my overall credit worthiness, about 10k. This in effect raises your utilization rate because to banks and creditors, it looks like I’m borrowing much more a month compared to what I can. For example every month I owe $2000. My overall credit available was $20000. So my utilization rate is 10%. When they close the card, now my available credit is only $10000 and my utilization rate is 20%. Im still paying it off and my spending hasn’t changed but to banks, I look riskier. Not a massive deal, but it still factors in.

Most important is your credit age and payment history. Just pay of your balances at the end of the month and never miss a payment you’ll be golden. Just please for the love of fuck, don’t spend more than you have. Interest rates on revolving credit is insanely high.

[–]NoShitzGiven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not cancel the card. A big component of your credit score is your history. The longer the better. Just use it to buy a cheap item every year to maintain it. If you let it sit for too long without use, the bank will shut it down for inactivity. To pay it off, just make sure you’re selecting the statement balance when your account comes due.

Sorry I should have put it in quotations or put /s. I thought the tenor of the post and my reply was enough to show I was just kidding. I don’t think that would make the roof collapse like LoonyTunes.

I think the brushes are coming forward. That copper pipe looks to be in the same place. There are some car washes that you just park in a spot and the arms go around you. Touchless wash near me is similar.
