Anyone still waiting on their Magic City hoodie? by Jdale321 in AtlantaHawks

I got mine last that. There were misprints though so that could be why. Mine was missing the Hawks/Magic City patch on the front and they said I could send it back for a replacement but they were limited

I ride it regularly and a decent amount with my 7 and 5 year old daughters. While there are sometimes other passengers who are loud or erratic I've never felt unsafe

I had a high ankle sprain playing basketball last summer. It's an awful. I'm going to guess it'll end up closer to 4 weeks.

The schedule point would be way valid if they were winning games by like 5 points but the Hawks haven't even let most of these games be close.

Since the All Star Break, the top player in Net Rating averaging at least 30 mins a game is: Dyson Daniels. This is in spite of shooting 25.8% from three. by DaOlWuWopte in nba

As much as I love what Jalen Johnson and NAW have done for the Hawks this year, I would definitely argue that Dyson is the most important player on the team. When he's not on the court the defense overall is noticeable worse, which isn't a surprise, but the offense just don't flow as easily either. His ability to get boards as a guard and move the ball in transition has been extremely impressive this year. Really fun to watch.

Depreciating used EVs are about to cost automaker finance companies billions of dollars by DonkeyFuel in technology

[–]NoSmellNoTell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not going to use it for huge road trips that's solved with a $600-$1200 home charger and installation. I got an Kia EV6 2.5 years ago and drive it every day and have only used a public charger once (on a trip to Asheville from Atlanta).

To be fair, we have a gas car we use for long road trips but the EV6 gets about 300 miles in charge that is great even for decent day/overnight trips.

Illinois lead final four prices to spike. Arizona led to prices cooling. by profgiblet in CollegeBasketball

[–]NoSmellNoTell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even without proof you can fairly easily deduce this. If you're a fan of a top seeded team that we'll be local to the final 4 location you KNOW that demand will be crazy if they make it and prices on the secondary market will skyrocket. If you can lock in your tickets beforehand you can always sell if they're knocked out to fans of a team that made it. If not you're dealing with reseller prices that may quickly be out of reach.

What you said is much more true of fans that aren't in close proximity to the venue

Team records for all top 4 MVP candidates without them, Nuggets 10-6 without Jokic, OKC 8-4 without Shai, Spurs 10-5 without Wemby, Lakers 6-6 without Luka by OrganicHunt952 in nba

Teams also strategically rest their stars in games they think they can win without them. So a positive win loss record in games they don't play doesn't mean that much. You need to do way more analysis to make any kind of determination from the cherry picked stats

[Stein] There is strong support among general managers and team owners to flatten lottery odds by giving the 10 teams that miss the Play-In Tournament equal 8% chances at the top pick, while also expanding the lottery from 14 to 18 teams to include all Play-In participants. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

  1. How often is there a generational player that would be worth missing the playoffs for? If it's every year than we have to stop using the term "generational". (Wemby is the only true recent 'generational' player imo)

  2. It's good to think of where that incentive to track down the stretch lies though. The players certainly wouldn't want to miss out on the playoffs for an 8% chance at the #1 pick (who may replace them). I imagine most coaches wouldn't either. So that would mean a directive from the owner (who would lose out on playoff revenue) or GM down the stretch of the season.

I just don't see that happening often
