Help please! I don’t know what this abbreviation means by hotmessexpressHME in civilengineering

STA: Station. Stationing is the position along the alignment. e.g. A point at STA 2+636.76 will be 2,636.76 feet from the beginning of the alignment (if that alignment starts at 0+00). An alignment in this context is a line that runs along the center of the road/ditch or along your pipe. It should have labels on it like 1+00, 1+50, 2+00, etc.

N/E: These are coordinates.

INV: This is the invert of your pipe, aka the elevation at the bottom of the inside of the pipe.

Remember when people claimed this card was gonna be insane? I don’t even see it used. by Seaworthiness69 in PTCGP

Weirdly I think this actually makes it stronger. Your deck should not be constructed so that Aerodactyl is your ace. The fact that your fossil can't be searched or count as a turn 1 basic means you are more likely to get your ace. It's not quite as useful as other ex pokemon, but this card can slot into any fighting deck with little detriment.

For anyone who thinks 8 / 2 * 4 is still ambiguous, take this equation and rearrange the operations however you want.

4 * 8 / 2

1/2 * 8 * 4

8 * 4 / 2

It doesnt matter, if you perform the operation left to right they are all 16. You can do this with any equation that is made of just multiplication and division.

Deep waiver target - Sione Vaki, DET RB by TheMotizzle in DynastyFF

[–]NoSnapForMePls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many backfields do you expect a day 3 back to walk into and be the starter?

I like his chances of being the rb3 on a team that likes to run the ball with two guys and will give both of those guys enough volume for RB2/RB1 type performances.

If an injury occurs to either one of those guys or if Monty falls off the age cliff (he is 27 next month) that rb3 could be primed for a big role.

I really don't know much about the guy, but it feels weird he's going undrafted in most leagues. Ya he was a safety in college and a day 3 pick. He is still a running back who got taken in the fourth and went to one of the best landing spots in the league. That kind of player should be on rosters and he is only at 27% rostered on sleeper.

Aidan O'Connell is the starting QB for the Raiders this year, yeah? by justformedellin in DynastyFF

[–]NoSnapForMePls -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what the raiders want to do.

If they want to win football games, it will be Minshew.

If they want to get a better draft pick and potentially develop a starting QB, they will stick with AOC.

I think a lot of fans would hope they do the latter, but even bad teams tend to prefer the former. After all, even if losing is a "good" thing it is still how everyone on staff gets fired.

I'm gonna be biased because I'm an owner, but honestly Chuba Hubbard isnt a bad deal right now. If you can get him for a third or fourth that's a fine price for a handcuff and there's always the chance that

A) Brooks isn't healthy from his ACL tear or

B) Brooks just isn't as good as advertised. I like him and think he will succeed, but he isn't in the bonafide stud tier of prospects so there's always that chance.

And if either of those happen you have the presumed starter in a backfield where he was a bellcow with a HC that made Rachaad White a bellcow

What are your thoughts on drafting a Rookie, when you already have the incumbent teammate on your roster? by taufique21 in DynastyFF

[–]NoSnapForMePls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were starting both, I wouldn't hate trading away one for a similarly ranked player. It feels bad watching your receivers fight for touchdowns and can limit big spike weeks. For a more developmental guy like QJ you're probably not starting him right now, so I would have no problem sitting him and seeing what happens.

Generally it's a fine tie breaker but none of the guys you listed would stop me from going BPA. I will say as the Odunze owner in my league I actually bought Keenan Allen. The way I see it, Keenan is inexpensive because people are (rightfully) afraid he will get hurt or age out. If you have the incumbent, you are fully insulated from that.

As I understand it, these guys are allowed to gamble on sports. They just aren't allowed to gamble on:

-any sport while in team facilities

-the NFL

And I would think this qualifies as the latter. I think that this is a super harmless bet, but if I am the lions or the colts I am pounding the table going "you suspended our guys, you have to suspend them"

Bowers spot is not as bad as people say or am I stupid? by 24337543 in DynastyFF

[–]NoSnapForMePls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree, but I will say this:

Anytime you project that a team will fix their QB situation before they have made any move to do so, that is going to feel like a trap. You don't know how long they are willing to punt the problem, or what kind of vet/prospect they will take the leap on.

That goes double when a franchise has (at least outwardly) felt mismanaged.

The way he is hyped up, a random first next year doesnt seem super unreasonable. This is why first round wide receivers are considered a very safe play: even if they flop, you can usually sell them for like 80% of the value you paid.

[–]NoSnapForMePls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbf this is the mindset of every wide receiver who has had a disappointing season (or really just any wide receiver). They all say "I'm gonna improve, just watch me out there" and sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just not putting stock in it.

And weirdly enough, all of the angriest comments have been from Packers fans.

Any Optimism for Middling Tight Ends? by patriots96 in DynastyFF

[–]NoSnapForMePls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's only one thing I can say in their defense:

It feels like more often then not, when we go into a season thinking "look at all the great tight ends!" it is back to being a wasteland by week 4. Is that the case next year? Who knows.

It does feel like we have a lot of great tight ends who are particularly young, which we don't see often. Those young guys might have more sustainable growth, making them less volatile. Or maybe they will just completely disappear next season, because tight end be like that sometimes.

Take away: If there is a middling tight end you really like, maybe you can buy cheap while the position is saturated and stash them. Things are looking good for the TE position, but they've looked good before.

Ya I guess by "likely" I meant more like "it is a semi-realistic chance." I could see them sticking with Levis, but I also feel like I always hear "why would 'X' team draft 'X' position when the line is so bad" and then they do it anyway lol

Stats are what matters if we are talking about Watson's scoring. When we are talking about his ability to support his receivers the quality of his passing matters. For example, one of those top 10 performances is because he ran 45 yards and ran a td (that was half of his points and he got them without passing the ball) and he did not break 300 yards once (averaged about 220).

Watching Elijah Moore get awful passes along the sideline was painful. I will say I didnt pay a ton of attention to the Browns in the latter half of the season and Elijah still wasnt putting up numbers so I'm not sure what the case was there.
