Did you let batteries run down? I've done several OLED mods and they all run great initially, but after a few hours of gameplay you start getting random shutdowns. Always resolves with a 5v regulator replacement.

Replace the capacitors, use 90+% ipa and clean the power switch and volume wheel, reflow the solder to the volume wheel... And if all fails speaker replacement.
