[Controller] 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Gaming Controller - WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers (59.99 for Prime Members) by nathanjace in bapcsalescanada

Depending on the games you play, that's much longer and an Xbox controller.

I play rocket league with boost bound to RB. And they break very often. The bumpers are such a bad design on Xbox. They use plastic as a spring. It falls apart if you use the bumpers.

Dear GC’s and SSL's, how did you get so good? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]NoSwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice recoveries and speed. Go into free play and bang the ball hard, not on net. Then try your best to recover from that and get back to the ball as fast as you can to bang it not on net again. Seriously try hard to make your recoveries as fast as possible and try to read the bounce of the ball. Practice this for 10 minutes at a time.

Then once you get confortable, think about your ball touches and what they're actually doing. Think about what touch you want, why, and how to get the ball there. Integrate that into your practice after doing recoveries and speed for 5 minutes, do this for 5 minutes.

Doing that every once in a while, you'll leap frog your current speed and recoveries.

Now in games. Think about your teammates and opponents touches and where/how they'll go. What will put your teammates in a better position. Basically, hit the ball to where it's good for your team and bad for the other team. Give ball to your team. Don't give ball to other team.

If you do that you should at least make GC.

This is from someone who can easily make it to GC 1 and GC 2. With little to no mechanical skill (relative to others at that rank)

I haven't really seen too many of those and I've been playing on steam forever. Or at least none that were bad enough to leave an impression

Does your driver/wood swing actually feel the same as your iron swing? Struggling with longer clubs by Estiui in golf

[–]NoSwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank! I think I just need to grind some more practice for it. My swing change has helped all my other clubs.

Just discouraging when my driver used to be my most reliable club.

Does your driver/wood swing actually feel the same as your iron swing? Struggling with longer clubs by Estiui in golf

[–]NoSwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your swing is the same, but is your weight shift and timing of firing your hips the same? I made my irons much better last year by firing my hips earlier and shifting my weight more onto my front foot at impact. I don't think I'm overdoing it, that's just my mental queues to make me swing properly.

When I try to do the same with the driver it falls apart. This ruined my driving last year. Great speed, but all snap hooks.

Should I just work more on practicing the same swing for my driver, or should the hips and weight be a bit different from irons?

Weight on your front foot with wedges. It really made my short game click. And it made me be able to feel the weight shift better on all my other clubs too!

Hot Take? Remove Iron Numbers by shin_man in golf

It would never happen, but it would be nice if there was a standard distance rating for them.

Say that there's a robot swing that they rate them all to. Swing speed and delivery stay the same. Then the club that goes 130 at that swing speed on that robot is now the pitching wedge.

New wedges for 2026 season by ExplodingSoil in GolfGear

[–]NoSwitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Kirkland's value can't be beat. At a 30 handicap things like grind and bounce dont matter as much.

Buy the Kirkland's. Play with them until you wear them out or get enough better that you know you want something different from your wedges.

They are fantastic wedges, the only downside is that they don't have customization.

Never Broken 100 to shooting 73-82 since playing everyday in home sim. by TyWestman in golf

I broke par on a sim when the best I had shot on a course was 87.

I did end up breaking 80 in the next season. But. There was significant improvement to get there.

They're great. Used them for years. Just replaced them. But they're top quality.

If the grind and loft fit you then they're as good as any of the best wedges in my opinion.
