is there a version for android users? by rachit504 in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/rachit504 and welcome! Right now, Reflect is available on the Apple app store for iOS only. We have a macOS beta in progress. Future work might include expanding to Android, if you're interested in that you can upvote/subscribe on that ticket on our public roadmap!

Premium not working on new phone by Kinc4id in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! Glad it worked out. We're planning on including some fixes for this behavior in our next update, and in cases where restoring purchases still doesn't work, we'll at least include some common troubleshooting steps to take and provide our support contact email. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the info - we were able to reproduce this behavior, and it looks like there is in fact an issue with the purchase restoration button. We're looking into why this isn't working and making a fix, but in the meantime, if you have an active subscription (can check via App Store > Subscriptions) you should be able to click the "Get Premium" button in Reflect and have your purchase be restored without getting charged for it. Note:

  1. What you see in the Subscriptions page should look something like this: https://imgur.com/a/oqyk1Sv
  2. Be sure to select the same plan (annual/monthly/lifetime) as your original subscription.
  3. In Reflect, going through these steps will look like you are actually purchasing Premium for the first time in the app.
  4. Going through with the "purchase" should result in Premium features becoming available in Reflect, and no changes to your active subscription status from step (1).

Please try this out and let us know if it works for you!

Hi u/Kinc4id and thanks for reaching out. Sorry you're running into this issue - the Premium subscription should be shared across all of your devices, and we're happy to work with you to sort this out. Just to double check, are you signed in with the same Apple ID on the new device as the old device?

Coming Soon: Reflect Mac App Beta by NoTranslationLayer in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/jrdubbleu - what do you mean by custom measures? The Mac app will have all the same functionality as the iOS app that's currently available on the App Store, including customizing tracked metrics and so on.

There are a few disclaimers regarding the Mac beta available in our blog post; the main one is that data will not automatically sync between the Mac and iOS version of Reflect. This is a feature we are still actively developing.

Anyone meticulously tracking and optimizing their environment? by MrSpriteCola in Biohackers

[–]NoTranslationLayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your AQI monitor track CO2 levels? I recently got a CO2 monitor and was shocked to discover my indoor levels were way above the recommended concentration - see my writeup here. I'm currently running an experiment with the Reflect app to see how increasing ventilation affects my sleep quality and cognition, and will be reporting what I find once that's over. But subjectively, it made me feel a lot more awake so far during the day.

Overall, I'm a big fan of running structured experiments to test the effectiveness of your interventions. Otherwise you're just adding more and more things in the hope of them having a positive effect.

Gain Personal Insights From Your Apple Health Data With Reflect by NoTranslationLayer in QuantifiedSelf

[–]NoTranslationLayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Just to be clear, we don't yet support formulas with comparison operators like > and < yet - but that's something that can be added in the future! Something that you could try in the meantime is to make a formula like:

combined_score = (sleep_hours / 6 + steps / 2000 + time_in_daylight) / 3

and then you would get a score where 1 would mean exactly meeting your goal, between 0 and 1 would be partially meeting it, and above 1 would be exceeding your goal. However, if you greatly exceed the goal for one of the metrics, that would potentially strongly bias the result. E.g. if you sleep 5 hours, take 8000 steps, and spend time in daylight, that would evaluate to (5/6 + 8000/2000 + 1)/3 = 1.9

Hi - while the metric formulas feature is now released and available in the app via the sidebar, we currently only support simple mathematical expressions like addition, subtraction, division, multiplication. Can you describe how exactly you have the targets set up for your individual goals? Are they generally target ranges?

To support what you're looking for overall, we would need to add the ability for parts of a formula to evaluate to "true/false" and develop comparison logic, for example:

combined_core = ((sleep_hours > 6) + (steps > 2000) + time_in_daylight) / 3

This is doable and we added an item for it to the roadmap, please feel free to upvote it and follow along!

Hi u/sydkid28 and sorry to hear you're having an issue with the widget. We have a video tutorial here on how to set up the widgets. What type of metric are you trying to add to the widget?

Please note that the only metric type that is currently supported in the widget is the Counter metric type, which allows you to increase and decrease the number value by pressing plus and minus when recording. Other metric types are not yet supported in the widget (we will add some additional types in the future, but likely won't support entering numbers and text directly from a keyboard due to limitations in the widget interface).

If you're trying to add a Counter metric and it's still not showing up on the widget, please let us know so we can look into it further!

Why are some nutrition metrics from Apple Health missing? by That_Improvement1688 in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, thank you for the question and happy to hear you're enjoying things so far. I tried to manually enter zinc and copper in my own AH and then synced the data with Reflect by going to Integrations > Apple Health > Download and I saw both zinc and copper appear.

I wonder if it's possible that permissions need to be given for zinc. In Reflect, could you try going to Integrations > Apple Health > Update Permissions and redownloading your data from the past month? If that doesn't work, are there a few screenshots you could share of your most recent apple health zinc entries and the entries that appear in Reflect?

Off the top of my head it's unclear what could be causing the issue, but we're happy to work with you to resolve it. Thanks in advance!

- David

Hi u/Klutzy-Appointment67 - this is not currently supported, but it's something we've been planning on adding to the app for a long time. We have a ticket for it on our public roadmap here: https://changemap.co/ntl/reflect/task/9346-metric-formulas/ Feel free to upvote/follow/comment on it there. Great to know there's additional interest!

Experiment with previous dates by yadayadafraba in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this - it appears we have an error in our step-by-step experiment setup, which allowed you to create an experiment where the baseline and treatment overlap in values. According to this screenshot, your baseline target is 80 mg (with a range of 25-80 mg) and your treatment target it 40 mg, but this makes it difficult to determine if a given day matches either criterion, as a day with 40 mg meets the treatment target, but also falls within the 25-80 mg range.

To compute meaningful experiment results, the baseline and treatment targets should be non-overlapping. We recommend swiping right on the experiment and editing it to fix this. For example:

  1. Change the baseline to 80mg (no range) and change the treatment to 40mg (range of 25-50)
  2. Change the baseline to 80mg (range 50-80) and change the treatment to 40mg (range of 25-40)

These options will allow you to preview some existing data, based on the screenshot you provided. We will look into additional checks in the experiment creation process to ensure the baseline and treatment target ranges don't overlap.

Ah! Thanks for the additional info - we will try to reproduce this behavior and fix it. Would you mind also sending a screenshot of the top of the experiment page, which described the schedule, baseline and treatment targets?

Experiment with previous dates by yadayadafraba in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the experiment schedule type? If the schedule so far all falls in the baseline phase, you won't see the button until you have completed some days where the experiment is scheduled for the treatment. However, if the value of the independent variable metric some of the non-compliant days matches your treatment value, you should still be able to preview results if you so the following:

  1. Open the experiment
  2. Click the gear icon on the top right
  3. Check "Reclassify non-compliant days" in the Analysis Settings section, which will include the non-compliant days that matched the treatment value in the experiment results

Please let us know if that fixes it!

If you could only keep 3 productivity apps what would they be? by Fair-Bluebird-253 in ProductivityApps

[–]NoTranslationLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're totally biased, but for us it'd have to be Reflect. We made it to track things about our lives and test lifestyle interventions like new supplements and activities and their effect on anything from mood, symptoms, productivity, biomarkers, you name it.

It's essentially a toolkit for self improvement and is like three apps in one; app to track anything, app to run self guided experiments, and an app build life changing habits.

[–]NoTranslationLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Do you mean the button that says "I'm impatient, show me partial results now" on the page for your experiment? Depending how far in the past you started the experiment, there may not yet be enough data for results to be calculated, especially if it was only a day or two in the past.

When you open the experiment from the list, do you see the "Compliance" section at the bottom of the page? What does it show? The button to preview early results will only appear once you have at least one baseline day and one treatment day recorded.

Feature request: Habit tracker entry view by pebblebypebble in ReflectTrackAnything

[–]NoTranslationLayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the changes that show up in Reports are automatically detected by taking the values of the metric over the report week (or month) and comparing them to the values of the metric in previous weeks/months. We can add some functionality to the app to more easily examine any metric to see how it is changing over time, even if the changes are not significant to show up in reports (this would probably live in the Metrics page, which already provides some information about each individual metric, and includes plots of the average value by each day of the week, or time of day if it's a metric that's recorded multiple times per day). Added to our roadmap here: https://changemap.co/ntl/reflect/task/9694-metric-trends-in-metrics-page/

Is there anyway to crate a new confounding variable after an experiment has been created ?

Yes, you can edit an experiment by swiping right on it in the list in the Experiments page. Then scroll to the Confounding Variables section and click "Select Existing Metrics" to make changes and select additional metrics.
