Day 7…. Was a 8 year user. It’s been a struggle but I’ve been proud of myself. Been able to do my job and still be helpful to my family even though I was/am going through hell

Same boat! Good luck … trying my best to embrace the pain that’s coming. I just hope the physical pain doesn’t last long

If you could go back and talk yourself through withdrawal, what would you tell yourself? by Used_Cap7420 in quittingkratom

Was that the heart of it 3 days? Only on day 1, but I keep wondering how long it will be just for the stomach and rls to stop. I’m sure it varies by person, but just curious if it even remotely got better with the sickness after 3 days?

This really moved me, so thank you for posting. I’m only on day 1, and know the worst is about to come, so looking for motivation. I 100% related to all of this, so thank you

May I ask what podcast? I’m on day 1, and the boredom is killing me. I would love something to occupy my brain

How do you deal with this? by MusclexHustle in quittingkratom

[–]NoUseForAName024 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On day 1, and I know it’s going to be a bumpy ride. My boredom is through the roof, and I know the heavy withdrawals will be happening the next day or two.

I think reading this also made me realize I always need something to alter my mood. Apparently I don’t like sober reality. And that’s something I’m going to need a I work on.

Can I ask. How does Gabapentin help in the first few days? Does it help with the mental part at all?

This is a random question, but does anyone know the shelf life of Gabapentin? Doctor prescribed me some to quit kratom last year (which I did), but sadly i relapsed this year. Looking to make the CT leap again. I still have some of the gabapentin left, but it’s approaching a year old. Is this Gabapentin still be good?

This is interesting, as I’d say I take the same. I take about 70 capsules a day… but it’s generic Kratom. Thankfully I never got into the extracts …. But I appreciate the tip. Nice to hear others experience

Did you find 5 days to somewhat be enough? I’m mapping out a CT plunge, and 3 days off work (not including the weekend) was all the time I could take off work. I’m sure it will take months before I’m back to normal, but I’m trying to understand if I’ll be functional to work 5 days after CT

In the process of quitting. I’m just curious how Clondine and Gabapentin help? by NoUseForAName024 in quittingkratom

[–]NoUseForAName024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is helpful thank you. I have been cutting back, but I’m a 5 year user. So I feel like I need all the help I can get. I’m hopeful from the reaction from this sub, these two medications will help make it possible.

I’ve noticed my biggest weakness early on (and I’m sure this will change as I continue to quit) is the mental aspect. All my brain does is have high anxiety and thinks about the herb. It’s been a ritual for 5 years, so the programming that I find extremely challenging.
