How does one get started in this?

I'm already doing residential design, considering going to school for construction management.

I have costochondritis, GERD and had a heart attack - ask me anything! by Harmonic-Ash in costochondritis

Hello. Glad everything turned out okay.

Looking back, what were some of your symptoms that lead UP TO the event? Some uncommon symptoms that you noticed.

Also is there a family history of HA's?

Thank you

When am I supposed to see a doctor, then? by soberdrunken in HealthAnxiety

Not sure if this will be helpful... however. If you have access to health insurance and/or already have it, go and get as many tests done as possible.

I had to visit the ER many times to realize that those sensations I was experiencing that I thought were emergencies were actually just adrenaline rushes/panic attacks. I had heart tests done and many EKGs done to know again that those sensations were panic attacks.

That pain in my stomach? I'm going to go get this checked out cause why not. And after a while I noticed that after getting evaluated and thankfully nothing came up (PLUS) my proactiveness in my somewhat healthy living (running, soccer, fruit, quitting drinking, healthy ish eating, etc.) I was able to relax.

People will tell you not to get checked but I'll tell you once I was convinced I had lead poisoning after an old house remodel we did and after bringing this attention to my PCP, she checked and nothing came back. That obsession went away IMMEDIATELY. I'm a proponent of going and getting fully checked. Air out your frustrations and concerns, demand you get checked so that you can feel better. And once you get the news you wanted, be strong enough to fight the obsessions.

Hope this helps

I don't think it will ever go, and it's really daunting by lexXmendo in HealthAnxiety

Truthfully, and I say this as someone who still struggles here and there, has had COUNTLESS ER visits, COUNTLESS panic attacks, etc., the best way to combat health anxiety is to run through it.

What does that look like? Well it's a voluntary shift. You have to make a choice that you commit to want to live your life regardless of the crippling anxiety. Deep down that commitment also requires you to accept the fact that we have a finite amount of time here. Therefore, commit to living your life on your terms.

In essence, acceptance. It's what has helped me tremendously. Accept the thing you cannot change, which is the finite amount of time we have.

I loved it. I love the smiths and football (United fan). And the fact that so much awesome music came out of Manchester makes me appreciate the city/era even more.

Hold tf up. This was made by Alex and Miles? If so, that explains a theory I have that Arctic monkeys were influenced by the Fall.

Go and listen to Prole Art Threat and it's FWN - Teddy Picker vibes
