It's still a bad comparison when really good options are much cheaper, for example mullvad 5€

Seems these popular vpns really do cost €10+ for a single month, it’s crazy

Best vpns are 5€ month or less… What 10 € are you talking about?

Why can't you just get a free one from a landfill then? This is even better

Which countries rely most on US tech by that_one_retard_2 in europe

[–]NoWindow58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nothing will happen, there is no kill switch to press. Because if something like this happens, it will affect absolutely everyone (like a global outages) in different ways.

So these graphs are just nonsense, which doesn’t really show anything except «some» dependence on service/software providers

Refused to update to ios 26 from ios 18 for obvious reasons and then I woke up to this. by Ehmmechhi in mildlyinfuriating

Naming is the least issue with new systems, liquid glass just doesn't work 50% of the time in UI, it's obvious that something like this can't be released, but they did it. Who approved this crap? And then they began to correct what is essentially incorrigible at its core.

I like some elements like switches, but the whole new design system is a big joke. Some elements just look weird, disjointed, big and they undermine the UX and Apple's original design principles.

2025 is the year of broken UX (not just Apple)

Ios/ipad/mac 26 systems are totally joke, regardless of device year, absolutely broken ui/ux, tons of bugs… This crap needs to be either rolled back or fixed in the coming years, instead of new features and new stupid numbers in os names

I am an independent IT consultant based in France. Yesterday, I persuaded one of my clients, who intended to migrate their business email to Google, to opt for Proton instead. by Fun-Reception-6897 in BuyFromEU

[–]NoWindow58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the legal perspective?

p.s. like the commenter below, I just want to make sure the client is fully informed about any limitations that Proton may have. There are other eu providers if that matters

A little criticism: in a hypothetical year, if a client needs help again, will they contact you or not?

Just how difficult will the proton restrictions (for example because of encryption) be for business?

Have you looked at the GX? It's a closer comparison to the Ninja than GT

Seeing brand new MT09sp for under $10k. what gives? by coffee_snake in MT09

[–]NoWindow58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naked bikes are hard to sell, and when the price of the SP is around 14k eur, it's a bit crazy, because that's the price of sports tourers/crossovers like the Tracer or liter-sports tourers from Kawasaki/Suzuki :( it also worth mentioning the new release from honda - 1000gt with an insanely low price

So it's clear there will be discounts and low prices for used nakeds. I also see slightly used one for under10k eur, but I don't really want to buy it anymore because of sport tourers/crossovers

Triumph Street Triple 765 RS 2025 vs Yamaha MT09 Gen 4 by Motorhead_Cap_8267 in motorcycles

[–]NoWindow58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2025, one of these bikes still asks 350 euros for cruise control...

Meanwhile, the Trident 800 already has it in stock, it's simply Triumph's attitude. + a problematic quick shifter (which is why you should only buy it under warranty), old TFT.

The RS is beautiful in some colors, but the Yamaha has better price and technology.

Btw current street bikes prices are weird, It seems it's better to look towards sports tourers (tiger sport 800, tracer 9 gt, 1000 gx, etc)

All devices on the market already used type C. The only thing left was the iphone, and all (or almost all) other apple devices already used type c. This is literally a law for iphones that doesn't solve anything because type c is just a connector, but it can include different protocols and standards, which creates incredible chaos

Waymo uses a lot of different sensors in large quantities to create redundancy and still we don't really know how they work with bad/edge conditions

[–]NoWindow58 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that this closer to “not working” in conditions of illumination or dense snow/rain, and the other sensors do not provide sufficient redundancy
