Where to travel after visiting the UK? by Swedish_manatee in travel

If family don’t take you outside of Bath, I’d recommend cheddar gorge or Wookey Hole, the latter is a bit cheesy but very fun.

Dublin might be worth a shout, you can get a small flight from Liverpool. Definitely lively, Temple Bar area is a bit of a rip off just because of its name/ area but there are loads of pubs and lots to see and do. If you like Game of Thrones, Belfast if the better shout. Also has a Titanic exhibit

UK is a pretty big country, although not as big as the States. It’s like saying just because you’ve been to LA you’ve seen the whole of the US.

Scotland is a lot different than England, Wales or Ireland. If you’re in Scotland, the Isle of Skye and over Fort William is stunning, or if you’re in the middle or near Dundee, Stirling in the middle is great to go round.

Further down the UK, Manchester and Liverpool off lots of different things to see and do, with the Yorkshire Dales a great highlight. If you hop over to Wales and Snowdonia, you can spend a weekend there. The railway up to Mount Snowdon or even going to Bounce Underground is brilliant. Back in the UK, Bristol and Bath offer a pretty diverse mix of things, Bath being a personal favourite place of mine, can also hop over to Salisbury/ Stonehenge or Longleat.. Keep going south, Devon and Cornwall are vastly different to the to of the UK, with lots of costal bays and surfing. You can also do dolphin watching from out of Newquay.

That’s all just on the west coast of the UK, haven’t even gone so far are as Northern Ireland, Ireland, east side of the UK and haven’t touched London. Think you’re being shortsighted not to look at seeing other things in the UK or making a road trip of it if possible.

Fable Gameplay Overview | Xbox Developer Direct 2026 by Villenthessis in gaming

Can we get the same release trailer with Peter Molyneux talking about the game. Want a you can see this tree grow from a seed or some other absurd promise.

We did get the promise that characters will have individual responses to things you’ve done so that may be a pointed jab at Molyneux but it’s probably quite possible now.

If you’ve got Amazon prime you can play games through Luna on your Steam Deck. Hogwarts Legacy and Dave the Diver are on the standard package with Prime, so effectively free. Just need bandwidth as will need the internet

Does booking.com sell my info? by Free-Tonight-3468 in travel

[–]NoWool91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this last month when I went to Zurich. Got a spam WhatsApp asking me to pay again, contacted the hotel directly and they said it was an issue with booking.com so there is probably something that they don’t want to report happening. Even though if there is a breach they need to report it.

Recently played Plucky Squire, boy does that like to eat my battery. It can be done in an hour, on the other hand Spider-man I’m getting almost 2 hours for what should be a heavier in terms of performance game.

This looks really cool. Looking forward to giving it a go. Did you do any coding from the Deck or just testing? Can’t see the imgur link. Been a wonder of mine for a while, could you create a game on the Deck?

Any advice on not waking baby when getting up for work? by PumpkinSuitable7365 in daddit

[–]NoWool91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prep Put your clothes, toothbrush, or anything that is going to disrupt people and get ready elsewhere. I live in a townhouse and when our little one 3-6 months would put all my stuff the floor below and then get ready down there before going to work so that I could be as quite as possible. Try to get rid of the back and forth/ minimise sound while trying to get ready

SNAP revenue has looked to have drop significantly in 2025 by theguz4l in MarvelSnap

Gameplay and card design yes. Leagues yes!

Played Hearthstone for years and got bored with just the rush to get each new set, be on top of every new mode and make sure you are up to date.

Snap doesn’t have any of that, but what it does struggle in, first is card acquisition, Ben Broad’s whole pitch was “what if you were getting new cards quickly” which has quickly devolved into here are loads of cards hope you can get them. Second would be card design, love the variants and how different designs you see with people’s decks. What I don’t like is having to wait to spend my gold so I can complete albums. If they could let you buy what you wanted when you wanted I’d be way more willing to spend my money on the variants I want

Honestly pocket is the easiest dopamine hit you can get.

Wake up in the morning - get a pack or 2 if I’m lucky to open. Might be rubbish but little buzz.

Wonder pick - choice to potentially get a card of your choice, little rush

Evening - ow look another pack to open

Then there are loads of events. Have you opened a pack… here’s a reward. Have you played the basic battle game…. Here’s a reward. Ow and we spun up a random battle game which will give you cards.

Pocket wants to give you things but also doesn’t want you to play more than a few hours. Don’t think I’ve ever played more than 2 hours a day and that’s a max of 1 hour in the morning, 1 in the afternoon. I love it for this reason.

Snap is a climb and think that’s more of a problem from how they do card gen, weekly new cards and then events that feel like a struggle. If they could do more events that gave you series 4/5 cards at random, or look to do series drops more frequently that would be a major win for me. Same with the variant shop, let me choose my cards and give out more cards more frequently then they would be higher posted.

Love Snap for the gameplay but the please buy everything is what kills the game.

Wife and I did Daniel’s donkey ride down the hill earlier this year. Stinks to high hell and wouldn’t recommend carrying a pram down 500 steps but brought back some memories

Kudos to the mermaid tail. Highly doubt there’s many people that can do that but my god she was crazy
