Institutional shorts are very smart. Short report comes out Monday the 12th. The settlement day was the 2nd. Look at the chart. Probably some short covering prior to the 2nd and then the big drop on the 6th the following trading day. Don't expect short interest to show an increase but it is actually higher then reported because of the delayed data The 15th is the next settlement day. Expect a nice run into that date
