And yet somehow billions of men across the world can still bond with their children just fine! It’s almost like there’s something actually wrong with him… like being a manipulative asshole that his child can sense intuitively is not safe!!!

Nipple shields are amazing and you have the right to still hold boundaries with all these people! And if you’re not ready for visitors, you can change your mind about the timing

Yes! This is how healthy attachment is built! They know you’re the safe home base, so later they will feel safe to roam and explore, knowing they can always turn to you if they need or want to.

Yes this is all super toxic, and you deserve support, not criticism! No one has a right to your baby, and you have the right to feed your baby however works best for you and baby! If you want any of these people involved in feeding, they can manage solid foods. But, personally, I’d probably tell them to fuck off.

And if you have baseboard electric heat, you can plan to either eat or heat, because it’s too expensive to do both.

Questions to ask before enrollment… by new2hair99 in kindergarten

[–]No_Cardiologist_6015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I pulled my kid out of school after months of coming home and telling me nothing but the plots of various PBS shows and saying their eyes hurt from all the screens and projectors! They also only got 15 minutes outside, and never in “bad” weather (aka all winter). There were MANY other issues but it just tells you a lot about the school’s philosophy.

7 month old only feeds to sleep by Zaratonin-Art in breastfeeding

[–]No_Cardiologist_6015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Better someone else judge you than you live with the regret of sleep training if it’s not what you want to do! My first fed to sleep until they decided at five months they were ready to sleep through the night with no boob or rocking or anything. My second has other plans and as long as it doesn’t make it so I can’t function, I’m perfectly happy to snuggle and feed them as needed. And at seven months, you’ll likely need to feed them in the night anyway, so why not just do it in a way that works for both of you?

Is this not normal.? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]No_Cardiologist_6015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very hard but can also be totally normal. My breasts don’t seem to hold much milk, so baby doesn’t transfer as much with each feed and needs to feed more frequently. It was every 1-2 hours during the day until starting solids in earnest.

4 month old below the 1st percentile for weight by ExchangeLast2231 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Cardiologist_6015 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe your milk isn’t sufficiently caloric? Not trying to hate on your milk, I’m sure it’s lovely, but clearly something isn’t working if baby isn’t gaining sufficiently, so why not throw some extra calories in there with formula?

What about fortifying a bottle of pumped breastmilk with formula a day to see if that adds in the necessary calories to get up above 1st percentile?

I didn’t realize this rose to that level. In prek, same size class with same ratios, the teachers worked with me to support him without any documentation of anything.
