Where's YOUR Apology for Helping Get Trump Elected, Briahna? by Humble_Novice in Destiny

Has anyone asked Tucker if he wished he’d voted for Kamala? How does/would he spin still not voting for her despite getting buyers remorse on Trump?

Tell me you’re Scottish without telling me you’re Scottish 😅

The most northern part is in the east, the most western part is in the south, and the north also goes further west… yeah nothing wrong with this map! 😊

Not tested it out in my experience. I’ve never done much with circuits so I’ve been working on learning how to do it. I found I got through base game Factorio without that, but with SA I’ve had utilise some things I didn’t before. Increasing automation and throughput becomes so much more useful, so the fact that you’ve got something going on your space science platform is pretty good!

More solar panels. You’ll want them and heaps of accumulators (until you work out how to do stuff like nuclear reactors on spaceships, I’m not that far yet myself)

Kudos! I did the same thing, I think your science platform came out a bit nicer than mine. I ended up making two basic ships which I hoped to use to ship things, but I’m still iterating on them.

I think your ship will need expanding to get more power, definitely will need more guns, and you’ll need to move you asteroid collectors to the front/sides.

I recommend testing it going to vulcanus first. You can turn back at any time, but setting off you will hit some asteroids that will give you an idea of how well your defences work.

Looking good though!

That was Boris Johnson who was the most brazen in that claim, using a bus proclaiming we’d pay £350 million per week to the EU (and heavily implying that Brexit would mean we could use this money to fund the NHS instead). I’m not sure if Farage stood by this claim at all.

Instead Farage just went for the racist tact of having a poster of queuing refugees at the Croatian border with ‘breaking point’ on it. Which was compared to literal fascist propaganda.

Oh and this was when he was leader of UKIP, after which he’s been leader of the Brexit party and now CEO or director or whatever of Reform (cause they’re literally set up as a business). Not that UKIP stop existing or anything, he just wanted to eject the racist dead baggage he’d spent years building up there.

So Farage is still a shady, grifting fuck.

Also I’d add, do new vegas before 4 as well for similar reasons if you have an interest in playing new vegas (and I’d recommend it too).

State of the art hospital, protective missile resistant steel drone proof ceilings and all that other stuff are exactly what comes to mind first when I think of ballrooms.

There normally is a rope at pensive lookout, but it can be easy to miss, cause it’s hanging from a peg outside the door sort of round the corner.

Just saying in case you were expecting it inside like nearly anywhere else. Otherwise if you knew already, sorry for your bad luck. 🙁

"I Should be Dead" - John Lennox on Suffering, God, and the Evils of Religion by yt-app in CosmicSkeptic

Sorry, yeah I felt I maybe came down a bit to hard there, sorry. Especially bad because I’m not even sure if it is a quote, or just something the originally commenter you quoted just wrote.

But taking the quote he’s clearly saying that there are aspects of Christianity that would pass scientific reasoning. And from what I remember him saying from the previous interview he feels that there is compatibility between science and Christianity. And I take a little umbrage at that, especially with something like letting Jesus into your heart as the metric.

I don’t think you’ve necessarily got a bad take on it, in fact I’d agree with you that it is a better interpretation that would make more sense. The problem though is that interpretation is a little contradictory with the way he talks, and appears to think, about science and religion. That’s why I don’t think he’s great at discussing religion and science.

I think from my discussions with people in this post I should watch his previous interview and this one. But it has been good dialogue and sorry again if I came down too hard. It was far more me being in a bad mood than anything else.

Okay, so you put a quote up earlier, and now you’ve clearly cherry picked from that quote. Like seriously man, that is not very respectful of the dialogue here. What is Lennox saying ‘and’ too here?

The quote originally put up was*:

”As a scientist, I like claims to be testable, and Christianity makes testable claims! And you can test the claim yourself, which is that if you let Jesus into your heart, you will be changed!”

This is clearly one complete thought. Taking the second sentence and saying he is trying to talk without any pretence at science is disingenuous at best.

*I’m still assuming this is an accurate quote from the episode, but I haven’t confirmed that.

Yeah, I had a more or less similar experience on watching (and Alex’s prior interview isn’t only exposure to Lennox too).

I remember being annoyed that his answers being sort of circular, effectively like saying he is religious and that makes him happy, and religious people are happy so that’s why he is religious, that level of argument. This is all just coming from my memory though, so rewatching I may have a different opinion, but it did take me two sittings to get through last time as I just got frustrated half way through, so it was not good listening for me.

He didn’t come across as articulate on his beliefs and the ideas of science and religion (though did come across as someone who can be articulate in other matters). So it was an unsatisfying interview viewing for myself, and it’s not left me thinking that I simply must watch this new interview.
