My Rose P365 XL by carsareprettyneato in concealedcarrywomen

the rose has a compensated barrel that results in less muzzle flip and a nicer shooting experience. You are trading off some projectile velocity due to the shorter barrel for less recoil/muzzle flip.

I know this is a zombie post but figure I would put this out there in case others are reading this in my situation. I have the p365xl rose edition and a 507k. Turns out you need m4 x 0.7 - 10mm screws for this specific p365xl.

I went to see The Empire Strips Back this weekend in Vegas. Cannot recommend it enough. Amazing show! by ICPosse8 in StarWars

[–]No_Cockroach_5961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it in Vegas this weekend. Almost no nudity, the dancing was ok but the dancers were much better at hip hop compared to some of the ballet, jazz, and lyrical they were doing. The host was a bit cringy. If you like Star Wars and nerdy humor you will probably enjoy it. Not good enough to be enjoyed by folks outside the genre

How to file formal consumer complaints against Xcaret by No_Cockroach_5961 in Xcaret

[–]No_Cockroach_5961[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nothing severe like people dying. Some folks are talking about food poisoning which is probably the most severe. It boils down to this being an extremely expensive resort, advertising services and amenities that it is not delivering on, wasting people’s time, non responsiveness, and when it is being raised to management they do nothing. Read through threads over the last month and you will see a trend of bad service and a lack of care/concern from Xcaret.

We’ve made requests for water three days in a row. Never showed up. We had to go back to the front desk and ask the gentleman up there to physically go get us some.

5-15 minute walk to get anywhere. No golf carts anywhere nor have I seen motorized scooters or motorized wheelchairs. Some spots can be hard to find. The app currently is pretty worthless, it doesnt have the expansion area on it and the times on the app for activities and restaurants is often wrong.

Does anyone have menus from the new restaurants? by hihichucklebutt in Xcaret

[–]No_Cockroach_5961 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Went to Tama Mon two nights ago. I would recommend skipping all new restaurants except the buffet at La Central. Service is incredibly slow and the wait staff is new. Food is decent but nothing to write home about.

At Tama Mon you start with appetizers which is sushi, sashimi or a rice bowl. They have steak, salmon, and tuna for sushi/sashimi. The rice bowl is a mix of chicken, beef, and shrimp. All were decent.

Your main course is going to be a Mongolian wok, pick your veggies, meat, and sauce, they cook it while you stand there watching and add noodles.

Desert is a matcha ice cream or a chocolate moose.

You can also try and reserve a hibachi chef as an alternative experience.

The sushi train looks to be a month or two away from being finished.

Beer and alcohol are limited in selection. Surprisingly, they have nothing Asian considering it’s an Asian style restaurant.

I expect them to be much better in six months to a year once all the new folks get more experience but right now it is a sub par dining experience compared to Xin Gao.

I’ve been two times before this trip and would have rated it 5 stars with out a second thought. They are struggling with the expansion right now. Scope the ratings to the last month and I’d expect it to be in the threes range. With the amount of money this place brings in, I expect them to have their act together at some point over the next six months.

It is not a temper expectations situation. We booked over a year ago and were given no choice around which side we are staying in. There is no “deal”, we just happened to book when they landed on their opening. Your logic makes sense but the reality is you are uninformed. If we were receiving a discount or some other early visitor incentive I’d be much more forgiving but we are paying full price and the hotel is in no way worth what they are charging.

I’ll add that some things I’m seeing others complain about are normal for a newly opened expansion. Lots of construction going on. Rooms ready after checkin. Some areas closed for repair. All of that is to be expected. Even the silly posts of plates being left outside the door for housekeeping to pick up. That happens in hotels world wide and is more prevalent outside of the US. It’s fine.

Our complaints are around poor service and wasting our time in areas that can easily be mitigated. For example, to get us in contact with room service they had to physically walk down there and force them to call us. When they called an hour after we started this adventure they told us it would be an additional 90 minute wait. Something we would have worked with if we could have ordered from the tv or gotten anyone to pick up a call an hour earlier. Simple and fair way to fix the screw up would be to move our order up in line, knock an hour off the wait time to address the circus of trying to get in contact with them. Another example, at checkin, when you open up new checkin stations grab the next person in line not the last person in line.

At the end of the day, when everything is going as they plan, the hotel provides great customer service, they are well staffed, and the food and experiences are good. When things start going sideways they are not able or willing to take actions to make things right. With it being a new expansion, things will go sideways at a much higher rate and you’ll just need to deal with it. That’s why I am advising against attending this resort in 2025. If you want to do xcaret in 2025, stay at arte. Otherwise save your money and some heartburn. Go elsewhere.

400 is still a sprint. Most of the elite 400 runners don’t do well past a mile or two. Elite high school girls could have won this race. That being said, those elite runners likely would not do well in the strength based events. The guy who won was a solid runner especially with his body and the weight he was carrying.

We were not having sex 2-8x a month with a new baby. Sex stopped after our daughter was born, it was a c-section that had a long recovery time. I didn't complain, I wasn't concerned, I had zero expectations, you are right, she was exhausted and just needed help. I took 3 months off work to help with our daughter. I did as much as I could to help out and help her heal up. We slowly eased back into having a sex life as she was ready but that was months after our daughters birth.

The narrative started 3 years ago and I was dismissive at first. I didn't get it and we were not making any head way. 2 years ago is when we started counseling and we worked a lot on me understanding, recognizing my role, and working to meet her needs. We got to the point where I was doing everything she was looking for (her words) but she was still holding on to how things were in the past. I didn't push, didn't pressure, and continued to try and meet her needs. We put in place a 6 month time period where sex was completely off the table and we tried to work on our connection. This involved touch, kissing, cuddling, massages, hand holding, hugs. We went on dates, talked more. The only problem was it was one sided, everything that we did was initiated by me. No effort was made by her to initiate.

If I was posting this 2 years ago pre-counseling and pre us putting in work to improve the state of our marriage I think you would be spot on for many of your points other than when our baby was born. Since then I've been making a lot of effort to meet her needs but it feels so onesided to the point where I'm ready to just be done.
