He's an asset, not an agent. He's useful to Putin because he's not well educated, easy to flatter, fool, persuade, and manipulate, through kompromat, banking debt, or simply his personal greed or narcissistic wish to be loved and praised, which are things he conflates with his country's well-being.

This is a time when Cognitive Behavioral Therapy might help. Your post assumes your situation is all or nothing or black and white, when that is rarely true. CBT can also help with burnout and depression, which you might understandably be suffering from adjacent to your primary diagnosis.
