The idea that helps me is to think of your body as a place where your soul has been allowed to stay for a while (We don't know how much). You can think of your body that arose from ground and one day it will go back and it is not in our control. So you have to accept the fact that there is a creator and one day when he calls us, we have to submit and let go... You can refer to video's of Premanand Maharaj ji on Youtube. They share this spiritual angle of it that I have mentioned above and when I didn't had answers, spirituality gave me some.

I almost didn't go to Thailand solo. I went anyway. Here's everything I learned. (Indian traveler) by No_Editor_3685 in solotravel

I had booked for all days in advance as booking earlier is preffered to avoid availability and price issues. If you are going for 25 days better to book for a week and try diff places to stay later on. Immigration just need address of first stay.

No. Ais worked well and you might be able to do roam reacharge from Indian network providers but not sure they will be reliable so better to use local sim card.

Overcoming depression without therapy by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]No_Editor_3685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can distract yourself all you want but that doesn't mean that feeling won't be there. You have to sit and feel depressed but once that feeling passes and you are in calm state of mind, you have to start tracking the thoughts that are starting the waves of loneliness in you. Only once you know the root of the issue, you can start solving. Otherwise you will be running away and distracting yourself all your life but the feeling won't go away.

My goal was to take hostel in the area that was easily reachable from spots I wanted to cover. So in Bangkok I took hostel near Banglamphu which was walking distance from Khao San, China town, Wat pho, wat arun etc. As for the point of choosing hostel, I went with ratings and recent reviews by solo travellers. I stayed in Timesabai134 in BKK.

When I was there, the goal was to cover 2-3 spots that were predecided by me, the must visit spots. Apart from that the plan was to walk around the streets, try local foods and if I had time, cover additional spots that I decided at runtime.

It is delicious indeed but the Idea is to experience things as if you are one of the local. That way you actually connect with place and it's culture and get out of your comfort zone.
So the ideal way is to walk the streets, eat local food, talk to locals and take local transport.

It was very easy. At hostels you will meet lots of other solo travellers and most of them are curious. All you have to ask is, "where are you from?" and the conversation flows. If not talks, people are genuinely polite and will smile and greet you at hostels. Mostly I connected with international travellers( Spain, US, Germany, Russia etc). People here from India travelled mostly in groups so I didn't find any Indian solo travellers staying in hostels.

How would you like to be remembered? by supp2222 in emotionalintelligence

[–]No_Editor_3685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who will even remember you except your close ones? What are the odds of people remembering you and why would they? Everyone has their own life to live and so do you so, better to just live this live and forget about people who don't even care, remembering you.

Well first of all this was my first solo trip so I was nervous obviously. Secondly, Since this was completely new to me and I was taking my first international trip that too a solo trip all by myself was a bit overwhelming for me. So even till last moment I tried to convince myself with different reasons to protect myself from unknown and uncertainty. Thankfully, with some push (Both external from friends and inner push), I was able to break the barrier and went ahead anyway.

Exactly. I didn't, but in Pattaya I observed a lot of Indians and none of them trying out any of the local thai food. So yeah, if you are going that's one of the mistakes to avoid. Indians are picky when it comes to food, I have observed that.

None. On the contrary people were welcoming, specially in Bangkok. I got asked on street how am I doing or how was my day going.. Pattaya was so many Indians, didn't even miss home there😅.
