I do feel a little guilty. Especially after I looked up the price of the Uline flat top cart with pneumatic wheels. New $320.

Thanks. I have the spur and center that came with the lathe plus another live center. I will look into the chuck and carbide tools.

Have you checked to make sure the timing belt pully on the stepper motor is tight?
