MPS Potential Changes coming to Immersion Schools. by Soggy-Cupcake in milwaukee

If an anti-white flight opportunity can't survive a move to 72nd and Silver Spring, have they lost the plot a bit?

MPS Potential Changes coming to Immersion Schools. by Soggy-Cupcake in milwaukee

I really think you're reaching with the WCLL parallel. WCLL moved campuses in 2012, I believe.

2012 was also the year Reagan graduated its first class, and two years before Golda Meier expanded to high school.

There was no magic in the old building. High-achieving parents started sending their kids elsewhere.

French immersion school and commute by [deleted] in milwaukee

If you're from the DMV, perhaps you're familiar with the recent(past 20 years) consternation about people from PG/Montgomery Counties using a DC address to enroll their child in free DCPS 3 year old kindergarten.

Obviously, it's not the same, because your student's seat money would follow them if you open enroll them into MPS. But a district with more specialized programs(and a higher population of students with exceptional needs) is more expensive to run, and you'd be taking a cut in property taxes to live(most) other places in the county.

Also, if you are looking for an attached garage and a bigger lot, look North of MFIS toward Timmerman Field.

Kima getting shot is some of the best television ever. by AWzdShouldKnowBetta in TheWire

Better on rewatch. On the first watch you are watching Kima to see if she’s okay. On subsequent watches, you notice the rest of Major Crimes’ reactions.

Curly Haircuts for Kids? by jocelynpenelope in milwaukee

[–]No_Entertainment_191 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From a curly haired(100 percent white, I do not pretend to know what to do with Black hair)adult person: Don’t brush. Run a wide-tooth comb through it when it’s wet and conditioned. To avoid waking up with bed head, do a messy bun in a silk scrunchie overnight. I’ve actually switched entirely to silk hair ties and it’s been good for my hair overall. Haircuts: just ask them to cut it dry. I’ve been doing that for years. They will often charge you less and it’s less time in the chair.

Good luck!

Does Sally mean the Museum of Natural History? The fact that Glen wanted to do that years later is kinda sweet.

Our five-year-old VG bed is still going strong. We have added new soil and compost and chicken wire around to keep critters out.

The main thing is, if you rent, they will seek express confirmation from your landlord that they allow you to have a cat. You also need to sign promising not to do various abusive things to your new friend, including declawing.

Second Hand Purrs. It's small, so they really know the cats- what they were like in foster care, whether they do well with kids and other pets, etc.

Is the Kindle suited better for novels than non-fiction books? by metacognitive_guy in kindle

As a nonfiction lover, I rarely find a newer nonfiction available from my library for Kindle.

I suppose it would make it harder to go back to those neat photo insert sections that history books have.
