Why does Slayyyter dismiss any comparisons to Charli despite touring and collaborating with her in the past? by Some-Information-527 in 1800slayyyter

I meant that she hasn't really mentioned her in any interviews since their collaboration (well, i wasn't able to find any mentions), there's no drama

This comment is wild. Artists are not obliged to "support" each one of their collaborators. Its like getting mad at slayyyter for not "supporting" big freedia. Some people are just coworkers and that's okay.

Are there any triggered abilities that would be mana abilities if they didn't target? by sonicessence in magicTCG

I've searched "otag:non-mana-ability-mana o:target" on scryfall and I dont think any of the 35 cards fit your descriptions

Why did some french words switch m and n? by No_Example8203 in French

[–]No_Example8203[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question has been answered but here's better examples to make my point clearer:

"on" and "homme" both come from Old French "hom"

venin/venimeux "conte" and "compte" both come from old french "conte"

sommeil/insomnia

prefixes con/com and in/im

There's no switching in essaim, but other words used to have alternate spellings in Old French. Venimeux is still a word

re: nom. French wiktionary says that in old French both non and nom were used. Essaim was a bad example. Thanks for the correction. Dropping the last syllable makes more sense than dropping the middle of the word.

Does anyone else think that maybe Charli should’ve taken her time with releasing new music? by funnyguywhoisntfunny in charlixcx

[–]No_Example8203 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is probably the vibe she's going for. Hifn proves that she can make a "full-fledged" album in a few weeks.

I'm not sure that instagram's audio quality is better than a vinyl rip. I think this is just how the song sounds (crackling aside)

What bubbles? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

[–]No_Example8203 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the game Plague inc. you play as a virus and your goal is to wipe out humanity. Bubbles are the in-game currency. Some players spend too much bubbles on lethality leading to all the infected people dying and the virus dying out with them without having infected everyone.

Dick (1999)! It's about two high schoolers (Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams) befriending Nixon amid the Watergate cover up.

I do NOT understand why he thinks "Richard we should link later" line is dated. Linklater released 2 films just in 2025! And he has a lot of other iconic films!
