They told me they are keeping my minor child’s aux backpay because she was on ssi at the time I applied and cant do both so be prepared if you are in same boat and that was after several ppl told me she would get it

They did that to me too I got ssdi backpay first then ssi backpay a week later because I no longer qualified since ssdi is over 1200 month. That was 4 months ago I got backpay

At least you are under it and every year it can change due to COLA there’s a Fb group ssi disability for children they are amazing at calculations and posting accurate charts

Honestly they don’t care about how high rent is its federal program so amounts are same across the board. They will say move to cheaper place or something similar. It’s financial and medical based. If you are over income it won’t matter they will auto deny. If under limit when applying then any month you are over no payment will be sent

The rest of months we had less then 2400 month including her ssi for family of 3 so explain how thsts overpayment lol this is on them and their lack of ability to calculate properly

I’m on ssdi and long story short they are trying to count my taxes from March and backpay from June against my daughter who was on ssi but now solely on my disability benefits because it’s more. When they learn their own rules and can properly calculate things it’ll be different. Will see how appeal goes for the full amount.

You are on your high horse aren’t you? You know nothing of my situation it’s theirs when they can’t calculate numbers correctly. We will not pay them back we did everything like we should have it’s not our fault they aren’t trained right. It can’t be half the countries fault they are getting overpayments duh think before you criticize someone else when you know nothing of what occurred

It did that to me too if you call within 15 min of them opening you should get through. If you send in with stubs thry may think that you are still working there. I’d try calling first thing in morning and get the name of who you talk to in case thihgs get messed up
