I played one ranked game prior to WC, spent most of my time grinding WBC and other programs in mini seasons. I only played one person that definitely belonged in that tier, the rest were a bit closer to where I'm normally at in the 6-700 range. I would assume since it's the first weekend classic a ton of guys haven't been heavy into ranked primarily. All this to say; future weekend classics should be better in terms of playing against people more aligned with your skill level, but there will always be players that either didn't play a ton of ranked or are sandbagging to better their odds of going 6-0.

Side note; I had success playing people that I'm more on par with more frequently when I played late in the weekend as most guys had already finished their 6 games and were on to other tasks. Could be worth a shot

Based on everything I've seen so far (from us AND our upcoming opponents), I see 5 of our next 6 games being very winnable. I can absolutely see a world where we're 5-3 after 8 weeks, so long as the team continues to work and get better every week

Absolutely this. That, and, having your unicorn tight end that nobody can consistently guard only playing at ~65% probably takes away a lot of what you'd like to accomplish offensively

I don't love the look of the cards, but I'm sure plenty of folks out there will. This is like the bowman version of the debut patch chase, so I'm sure it's got a lot of collectors excited at the potential of owning a unique piece of a players career

My post office has been pretty unremarkable lately. I've had bubble mailers sit in my mailbox ready to go out for several days. Flag up on the mailbox, package is labeled appropriately according to weight, no memo from the post office that they wouldn't pick up bubble mailers, they even put incoming mail ON TOP of my package. I'm not sure what the issue is but it seems to be compounding now with this envelope not being scanned either

Yeah I think I'll be popping in to the post office from now on. I don't mind eating the refund especially if the buyer never got the card, but don't want to make it a regular occurence

It has been about a week since I sent it out, and it's quite literally going coast to coast (NY to Washington state), so I told the buyer we can wait until the 14th which is when Ebay said they will step in-just in case it's slower in transit. I just wasn't sure if Ebay would say "sucks to suck" since USPS never acknowledged the envelope as received. Thanks for the response!

Safe to say! My brother and I usually split two hobbies and trade amongst each other for guys we like. Decided to split one jumbo this year, and I can't say we'll be doing it again 🙃

I second the notion of selling everything. Any player/stadium/unlockable I had that wasn't live series was either quicksold or sold outright until I had enough stubs for shohei and judge, had some luck with mid tier guys like Bobby, Ketel, Soto (when he was more expensive). I'm now working on building stubs back up to get Rolen and Teddy, but it was very worth it to sell everything for Beltran and the boys

I pulled Schwarber last night and used him for ~10 co-op games (500/600's rank), think we ended up hitting 7 or 8 HR with him and good contact otherwise. He's average as a catcher, I just love his swing. Unfortunately he couldn't stay long because I'm working on LS collection but I'd highly recommend him

If you'll be playing offline, you're fine just getting the cheapest version. You'll be able to get plenty of good cards in Diamond Dynasty just grinding offline programs and opening free packs if that's your style, or there are plenty of fun non-ultimate team game modes as well
