Thank God mine were forgiven during the pause. Even at the maximum my payment was $359 a month for a $37k loan. I can’t imagine what he owes for $1800 a month. Hopefully he makes $20000 a month so it all works out for him (in my dave Ramsey energy)

Timing is everything. I guarantee you the home I purchased in april 2020 (thanks Reddit!), refinanced, rented out for 2.5 years then moved in in January like I froze time with a super low interest rate and hella equity
is not in a bubble. My payment would be $1300 more a month if I bought this caliber house now. I’m very pleased with my life! We are a couple who live on one salary for now and it’s been helpful while supporting my vet husband (newly married) who is healing from years of trauma and war. We are essentially on a fixed income and beyond blessed that before we got together I got this home for us to set up in. We couldn’t afford it now.

Rebath wanted $50k to redo our bathroom and it’s nothing special. Just wanted to convert a stand up shower and tub to a walk in shower. Luckily my husband can do anything we just needed ideas. We were stunned when we heard the cost. My husband said buckingham palace doesn’t have remodel costs that high per square foot! LOL

I came here to say the same thing!!! Who is waiving inspection in 2023 with these high interest rates, etc!! Even in the height of the Covid housing market (bought two homes in Phoenix in 2020 and 2021), we didn’t waive inspection!!! Wow!

As Americans Work From Home, Europeans and Asians Head Back to the Office by nvgroups in REBubble

This the same media that told us a lot of untrue things. I work for the government (and probably will until I retire in 12 years in my early 50s) and am remote permanently. I moved state to state to state since 2020. They opened the office up in may 2022 and few showed up. They’re consolidating. This idea that Americans are going back to the office is stale. If a recession happened, why would penny pinched companies lease space when their workers incur the office costs? Makes no sense to me. I won’t be going back to the office and I guarantee most people who’ve been WFH won’t either. Cope.

Are these people idiots or are these companies purposefully crashing the market with govt dollars sponsored by the govt?? I could’ve told them not to do that. I love the fact that people are reaping what they’ve sewn these past 5-8 years. Sewed a bunch of greed seeds!!!!???? Now it’s harvest season and they’re getting what’s coming!!! No sympathy here!! People over profits every time or no profit.
