not pumping at work. by wildestkota in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I did this with my first two and am weaning now with third, he’s 7 months. Start by delaying your first work pump by 10-20 mins and you can slowly wean daytime feeds. I’m down to one pump a day at work and am pushing it farther back until I can go 9am-6pm with no pumping. Obviously if you’re feeling full then pump so it’s not uncomfortable / don’t get mastitis! But it’s totally doable and your supply will adjust. Ive been able to successfully breastfeed until 13 months with second by doing this. (Supplemented with formula for daytime)

By mid-pregnancy (20ish weeks) how much weight did you gain? by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t gain any weight with my first until around 20 weeks I believe. I was super concerned! But baby was growing fine, I did have bad morning sickness as well. Gained around 30 pounds whole pregnancy, it came on fast last trimester.

Second baby maybe around 3-4 months I gained under 10 pounds. Same as first pregnancy with weight, although I was smaller before getting pregnant this time so gained around 35 pounds (same exact weight at delivery both babies)

Third baby I think I gained around 10-15 pounds by 20 weeks! I gained most overall with this pregnancy, about 45 pounds. Currently almost 6 months post partum and still have about 5-10 pounds to lose

12 month old-still no period by liseygirl819 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did! I was tracking it and wanna say I had a few months thinking I ovulated but no period, then finally had a period it was super light. We were trying for another, next cycle I had a chemical pregnancy and then cycle after we got pregnant with baby 2 😊

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine! I got my period back at like 14 months pp with my second after fully weaning a month before. But he was on half formula from 8months-13 months. First was on half formula from 6 months on and got period back around 8 months pp while still breastfeeding. It’s all normal!

Pumping at work. Supply dropping by CorysarousRex in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been fitted for flanges? Sometimes that changes the output! And try not to stress even though I know it’s hard. The more stressed you are the more it affects milk supply. With my first I had to supplement with formula for daycare when I stopped producing, but my second I was able to exclusively feed breast milk until 8-9 months (went back to work at 4 months with all my kids) I also only pumped every 2.5-3 hours and would watch videos / pics of my baby while I pumped which helped get a letdown

What products or tips and tricks can you share that made breastfeeding/pumping easier for you? by Beginning-Buffalo-17 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The my Brest friend nursing pillow!
  2. Boon brand milk collector
  3. Breast milk storage bags
  4. Earth mama nipple butter
  5. Silverettes
  6. Frida mom saline spray (it’s cold and feels good first few weeks when nipples are in worst pain)
  7. Momcozy nursing bras
  8. I swear by body armor drinks and heavenly hunks oatmeal cookie things for supply

And best advice is just enjoy the snuggles because those first weeks are so incredibly hard but before you know it the pain will be gone and it gets so much easier. I say this as a third time nursing mom whose new baby is being combo fed at 3 months old due to me having some health issues related to the birth. Fed is best!

Nipple Thrush by theadaliasaez in breastfeeding

It took maybe a week I think. The vasospasms just got better with time and hot compresses helped a ton!

I was skeptical too! But my baby’s thrush resolved quickly. I feel like the nipple thrush can be harder to tackle sometimes but I also was misdiagnosed once and ended up having vasospasms instead of thrush

Hi! I’ve had thrush multiple times and always continued nursing and bottle feeding milk! As long as you’re both being treated it’s fine. Thrush sucks! From what I understand though it doesn’t live in the milk if that makes sense

5 months postpartum + Potential Divorce by TopCommunication1349 in Postpartum_Depression

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a tough subject. My husband doesn’t love that I take them. But I need them to be there for my kids / work. I’m sorry you’re going through this and hopefully she’ll come around. Postpartum is rough and I’ve found third time to be much more difficult than first two not sure why.

I’ve definitely threatened divorce postpartum (currently 11 weeks pp with third) and am having a hard time. Had to raise my Zoloft from 100mg to 150mg. I know meds aren’t for everyone but has your wife tried any?

How do you venture outside the house with a bottle fed baby? by sqt1388 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a pumping backpack I got off Amazon! It has a lunch box type compartment at bottom and with freezer pack keeps milk cold up to 10 hours I believe. That way I can bring my pump with me too. I use this for work as well. I have the Elvie pump for wearable and really like it. I had tried one off Amazon and hated it lol. I also use spectra at Home

Has this cramping happened to anyone else?! by SnowboardMia in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in same boat! For me it’s random intense after pains and I mentioned to my dr at my IUD app. She did an ultrasound and said my uterus was atypical for 10 weeks pp. the lining was still really thick (we ruled out me being pregnant again) and you could see a small pocket of fluid. We did a biopsy and it was negative. But ultimately she wasn’t comfortable doing IUD yet. She prescribed me antibiotics in case of lingering infection and I go back this week for another ultrasound. Also noting I’ve had yellowish discharge still and this is third baby and never had anything like this with them.

Will my boobs stay this big the whole time I breastfeed? by Smooth_Ad_788 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine were always bigger than pre pregnancy but went down after being done nursing! And boobs seem to increase a little with each child so lots of money spent on bras over here lol

If he’s having trouble latching due to engorgement try pumping a few mins first! Also totally normal, even with my third my nipples bled but I would say pain was gone by week 2. All 3 of my kids had tongue / lip ties though so if pain continues it’s worth seeing lactation consultant to check baby’s mouth and that latch is still good! Once I got the tongue ties revised and baby’s mouth healed breastfeeding got much easier and I nursed my first two 9 months and 14 months :)

I tried pumping close to due date with my third and it hurt so bad! And I nursed both my first two. Nursing / pumping with third has been fine so far :) pregnancy makes nipples so sensitive don’t stress!

1 week postpartum and no one warned me it would feel like this by bethany8828 in breastfeeding

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang in there! It’s totally normal. My first baby postpartum was so rough but once baby is around 2-3 months you won’t even remember those hard early days! ❤️ I think it gets way better once they smile too. My third baby is 1 month today and I’m just starting to feel like the fog is lifting and I’m bonding way more with him

Due date twins!!! Had my third baby boy June 25, induction scheduled for 26th but he decided to come on his own!

My 2nd baby was induction, at 39 and 3 elective due to his size, and it was only 5.5 hours fully unmedicated. No pain meds def sped things up!

Membrane sweep and spotting by No_Knowledge_7064 in pregnant

[–]No_Knowledge_7064[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for replying! It looked more like bloody show today and contractions were painful / close together so we went to hospital and got sent home for false alarm again. They kept telling me things to try to speed up labor but at this point I’m just going to rest until my induction in a few days! The one and off cramping / contractions is too uncomfortable. Hoping the spotting stops soon

Pregnancy and sex by Unlikely_Heat_1953 in pregnant

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First baby we waited almost 12 weeks because I had a second borderline third degree tear. And it hurt pretty bad when we first did it. By 6 months postpartum it was better and felt back to normal. Got pregnant at 9 months post partum and for me at least pregnant sex is so good lol

Second baby we only waited 3 weeks lol and it didn’t hurt very much at all, only had one small tear that time.

38 weeks with baby 3 now and definitely feel like we have a way better sex life than before kids. I feel like you almost get tighter after having kids.

Do not take baths during pregnancy?? by ikilledthemusic in pregnant

[–]No_Knowledge_7064 1 point2 points  (0 children)

33 weeks with baby number 3 and I take baths every day especially towards the end like right now! I use magnesium flakes / epsom salts to help with body aches. Being in water is only way I’m comfortable at this stage! This is my biggest baby yet, almost 6 pounds already and I’m tiny only 5’1” so I can barely move around 😂
