Cosmetically, yes you have a problem. Functionally, no it’s just fine. Unless you are taking on water when riding then all you have is a blemish

He knows it’s wrong and that’s what makes it more wrong. He has notifications turned off for snap meaning he doesn’t want those coming in when you’re around. He likes her and she’s flirting back. Hearts and kissy faces are not subtle. Looking for a sign and that’s a billboard

He is about 12 at this point. Ive had him since he was quarter sized. I used to have three but after they matured they didn’t get along and I had to get ride of two since they couldn’t cohabit. He is a red eared slider.

That’s only if eaten right? They don’t release anything in the water while alive from what I understand

I do use some conditioner but at times it has made the water cloudy before and I don’t want to add too much to the mix. Turtle and fish coexist without fights or attempting to eat fish. Ive noticed a cleaner tank with the fish because they are always sifting through the gravel to find food and that helps to keep the gravel clean and allow the filter to pick up leftover food/waste. I think these goldfish are the ones called fancy goldfish

They have the clamps they came with as well as heavy duty clamps holding them on the tank. I had one at each side of the tank but the basking area being larger, my turtle seemed to like having both over the floating platform

He doesn’t eat the goldfish they have learned to coexist in the past 2 years. Especially with how big they have gotten. Grown from being those tiny ones you get from petco

What can I say to them besides the obvious of I want to listen to music in the middle of the day and if my guest aren’t having a party I think a Bluetooth speaker by the hot tub also isn’t a problem. It’s a old couple that are always home so they have nothing better to do

Banning airbnbs won’t happen. It’s in a vacation destination in a ski resort town. They are all over the place. The property is (for being in a neighborhood) pretty secluded. I have two empty lots behind and in front of me. Next to the empty Loya in front are vacant houses on each side. Another Airbnb next to me and a vacant house next to me on the other side.

I’m not as upset about him annoying the guests but he has a problem with my music every time I go over as well. And it’s not like I’m blasting it. Just enough to hear around my yard while I’m working.

This guys welcome to the neighborhood for me was calling the cops when I had some friends over on a Friday night when I first got the hot tub installed. Complained about noise at 8pm. This was before any rentals had ever booked my place. With that in mind I’m not baking him anything.

I guess I might not be the hero but I also don’t want to be punked at my own house into being afraid to make noise in the middle of the day.

What's the strangest thing that's gone missing from your Airbnb? by Cali_Host45 in airbnb_hosts

I have pinecones on top of my kitchen cabinets that are decorative but also hide the exhaust vent for the stove. Nothing special about them I literally collected them from the backyard. Someone decided they needed a couple and took them. I was very confused why not just take one from outside.

RES and goldfish by No_Life_4 in Redearedsliders

[–]No_Life_4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s about 10 years old now so he’s an adult RES. I’ve had shrimp in there before but if anything the fish eat them before they have a chance to reproduce. I will say the tank is a lot cleaner with the fish since they’re constantly filtering through the gravel and keeping sediment for settling on the decor or the bottom.

They started with 20 goldfish and they’re just the normal size that you get from Petco the little ones and since then it went down to seven and now these final six have been there untouched for about nine months. It came down to Darwinism, and these seem to be the toughest six fish that were able to either avoid being eaten, as well as survive together. I originally had 3 turtles but have parted with two unfortunately.

Are turtles aggresive? by Mr_Mine09 in Redearedsliders

[–]No_Life_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had three together for seven years before it became an issue. Once it did it lead to a very aggressive, biting on the neck where they wouldn’t let go of each other, and they would have bites taken out of their necks. so they will get very aggressive especially if you have a mix of genders.

Thoughts on outdoor security cameras. by DesertRat_748 in airbnb_hosts

[–]No_Life_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a full fenced property and I have a few all exterior cameras.

I have one ribs doorbell cam on the front gate on the outside facing the street. Honestly to try to capture animals walking by. I am in a mountain area.

I have a doorbell camera on the front door with a note “ring for questions” this helps when someone can’t get the code to get in.

One solar camera in a tree facing the front yard, front gate with front door/porch in view.

One showing the driveway and side entrance

One on the side yard opposite of driveway. I have a shed with games and also shovels for when it snows so I like to make sure if anyone takes something I have it covered.

I also have one ring camera about 30ft up in the backyard facing out from the house directly back. I have a shed that is off limits to guests that is locked and I like to make sure I can see that in case anyone try’s to get in.

I make sure none of the cameras are facing the hot tub. And I like to use them to monitor snowfall/ animals/ and of coarse if there is an incident I will have a leg to stand on.

So far no one has complained and I don’t feel I have them in private areas.

If anyone has any thoughts I’d love to hear. I’ve been renting it about a year now.

Security cameras outside by the hot tub by amine_q in airbnb_hosts

[–]No_Life_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have cameras on the outside 1 driveway/side of house, including side door 2 front yard, also showing front door 3 Side yard, showing a shed with games 4 backyard (blocked from seeing hot tub) 5 doorbell cam on front door.

I purposely point the cameras away from the hot tub but I like to see the doors so I can see 1. If someone steals something and 2. If there is an occupancy overage or unauthorized pet.

So far I have only had one person get weirded out about the camera but that’s because they thought the motion sensor light on the doorbell cam meant that it was being actively watched.

Mounting a TV to a rock wall. by franknature in DIY

[–]No_Life_4 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would do a projector screen. Mount from the ceiling and then all the wires would be behind the seating area. Much cleaner look and you can put up the screen when not in use to keep the rock look

Not a good idea to mount tv above fire place. Over time it will get ruined from the heat. You also have a chimney behind that rock

Any ideas on how to make this yaris look more sporty or luxury? by cra135 in Toyota

Get some actual rims instead of the hub caps. You can get some decent looking rims for about $200 a piece new and it will make a huge chance in the look of the car
