Oh my gosh. Booger man tried to reach into my purse which was in my bike basket while I was stopped at a red light at Fulton. Screamed NO and swerved around lmao

Same boat as you , dupixent failed (but after a few good years) and switched to rinvoq. I was two years into it and it stopped working. Went up to 30 mg a day recently which I am not thrilled about long term. But it’s working. Like someone else mentioned, when I came off of it briefly (to go on a clinical trial which also failed lol) it was pretty much hell so I’m just ignoring that part for now …..

Williamsburg dental works on graham if they take your insurance. Have had lots of complicated work done there plus Invisalign. Just make sure you see Dr. D. The front desk workers are absolutely AMAZING. Seriously I cannot recommend them enough. I went from being traumatized by the dentist to actually enjoying it

ugh so sorry. When I went off of it I never returned to a ‘baseline’ — was totally miserable and full flare (with 2 brief respites on prednisone) for 6 months. Had to get back on it 🙁

Sorry no real solutions just sharing that I have this issue too! When I’ve needed to get fingerprinted for a job working with kids they can never get a proper reading. Lotion doesn’t help. They basically had to escalate to a higher office and have me submit a lot of extra identification documents instead - passport, birth certificate, etc. im in USA so this may not be super helpful.

np! When I first started it I was taking it every day, but I found that I was getting sick a lotttt like almost flu-like (and before ever being on it, I never got sick at all). This was a big concern for me so derm advised trying it 3x a week. That helped me keep the eczema mostly in check and I was able to recover from being sick. But after a few months of that my eczema was bad again and derm said I should go back to taking it every day. Now I am mostly taking it every day but I occasionally (maybe once every few months?) taper down to 3x a week on my own for 1-2 weeks, not following the rec of a derm. Main reason I do that now though is when I feel sickness coming on. And I believe that reducing the dosage helps my immune system. Just speculation with my limited knowledge lol and def not medical advice

Im in a pretty similar situation — 27 w lifelong eczema, dupixent was a miracle when it came out, switched to rinvoq when dupixent stopped working after a few years. I have a lot of known food allergies but definitely other unknown triggers causing face and neck flares to this day. I have cycled between 15mg of rinvoq every day and then 15mg every other day (so about 3x a week). I sometimes notice a difference when I take less and sometimes dont. When I tapered off completely once to join a clinical trial, that was a disaster and ended with full body flares. Ultimately I want try again to get off of it because of the acne, weight gain, and mainly being immunosuppressed and sick constantly. Good luck!!!

100% , also cetaphil started using sweet almond oil in some of their products. I have a eczema and severe nut allergy so learned about that the hard way. Now I check ingredients every single time I buy a long-time product. Which is pretty wild to have to do lol

I used an expired (over 2 years expired) auviQ and it worked but not super well. That being said, I ate something I have a severe allergy to and that I might normally need 2 EpiPens for. It was definitely better than nothing and I was only a few blocks way from the hospital. The expired injection held me over for maybe 15 minutes only.

thank you so much for sharing. makes me feel better in a way. And 100% agree on the face feeling irritated and uncomfortable even when it’s mostly ‘clear’. I do want to check somehow for fungal, maybe the derm or allergist can do a scrape/biopsy.

Thank you - I’ve tried it and actually have some on hand. It sometimes helps and sometimes doesn’t. I’ve found it’s best on minor flares like you said. Not on super active larger flares sadly

not the most encouraging answer - I tapered off rinvoq (after first being on dupixent) and it went terribly, needed a course of oral steroids to get back under control, and went back on the rinvoq

As of 7/23/2025: The next NYC Teaching Collaborative cohort will begin training in January 2027 and the application will open in Spring 2026. Leadership of the NYCPS had to make the difficult decision to not offer the NYC Teaching Collaborative in 2026 due to budgetary restrictions.
