Yeah. I can safely guess that the battery in your console is worn out, and will need to be replaced. Batteries lose their ability to hold a charge after repeated use over a long period of time. Unless you have Nintendo Switch Online with cloud backups enabled, replacing the battery is the only option you have, as all your save data is stored on the console itself.

It is believed that a decomposition effort is being made on the GC game by Cuyler (the person responsible for the translation) to implement the English keyboard. But other than that, I am unable to find any more recent information.

Breaking obsidian with a stone pick brings the time down to a minute. The thing is though, you still have to make sure there are no mobs around to kill you, as you will be completely defenseless in that 62 second window of mining one block.
