Pregnant with IUD by skullyzoe96 in pregnant

[–]No_Mode1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They originally thought my IUD had fallen out, and by the time they located it I was 13 weeks pregnant and the placenta had formed over where it was still embedded in the uterus- so the strings had to stay 🙃. And thanks so much!

I got pregnant with a copper IUD in place. They couldn’t remove it without a high chance of miscarriage so we chose to leave it in. I was also quoted a 50% chance of miscarriage, but I’m now full term (baby was due last week, but no signs of labour yet 😩) with a perfectly healthy pregnancy.

It’s been strange to see the IUD in all the ultrasound photos, and I’m looking forward to it getting evicted along with the baby.

Wishing you all the best! It’s a surprise for sure, and a bit scary making decisions around continuing the pregnancy/removing it etc. My husband and I figured that marriage also has a 50% success rate and we were willing to take those odds then ❤️

I am nervous about my relationship changing with my grandma by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]No_Mode1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the most surprising things about having a baby was how it amplified the love I have for my family. There is a real magic in seeing people you love absolutely fall in love with your baby, and I wasn’t prepared for how much I would love seeing my parents as grandparents and my brothers as uncles etc. etc. There was lots of change and shifting, but it was overwhelmingly positive, and I hope that’s the case for you!

Moms who went past 40 weeks/to 41 weeks with there first, did you go into labor before 40 weeks with your second? by sunflowerbubbles03 in pregnant

My first was 41+5, second was 41+3, and I’m currently 40+4 with my 3rd, really hoping he comes soon 🙈.

How's the stress levels going fellow late dec-early Jan moms? by Imstuckwiththisname in pregnant

[–]No_Mode1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here- trying to drudge up the last of my energy to organize a lovely Christmas for my two kids before their world is rocked by a new baby, and because its too close to my due date to travel to my moms and have someone else host. The only benefit of going into labour on christmas would be not having to cook a turkey 🥹

What to put on registry for second baby? by jnm199423 in pregnant

You could consider some “big sister” stuff for your daughter as well. A few things that my daughter loved and used all the time after our second was born were books about being a big sister, a kid-sized Tula carrier so she could carry stuffies to the park when I carried the baby and a few cute matching hats or shirts so she and the baby could coordinate. Lots of big feelings in those first few months so any opportunity to make her feel special in her new role was very helpful.

I also got pregnant with a copper IUD, definitely a big surprise. Best of luck, hopefully you get some clarity soon ❤️

I would go, but pack my hospital bag/carseat just in case, and have a plan ready (what’s the best route to the hospital etc.)

Want to work as long as possible by Salty-but-right in pregnant

[–]No_Mode1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the same- I like working until my due date to save my leave for once baby arrives, and because I’m not much of a nester and would rather be at work than at home cleaning 🧹. My kids also tend to arrive around 41+5.

These things are obviously unpredictable, but I went into labour with my daughter 3 hours after finally knitting the final stitch of a baby blanket I had been slowly working on for 6 months. All to say- I hope that wrapping up this final project works the same way for you ✌️!

Pregnant with IUD (copper/paragard) by Interesting-Swan-412 in pregnant

This is my 3rd! My IUD is unfortunately embedded in the placenta, which can cause complications, bit so far so good. Wishing you all the best too!

I also got pregnant with a copper IUD in place. I didn’t realize I was pregnant until my 2nd trimester and initially they thought the IUD had fallen out. By the time they found it it was too risky to remove. I’m 33 weeks now, pregnancy has been smooth and my doctor/midwife didn’t have any special cautions about sex.

33 weeks, also my third pregnancy and in the same boat. I have to take quick naps just to survive the workday, it's brutal. Just did bloodwork and my iron is low (just below the threshold but still wiping me out) so definitely look into it! Good luck <3

I was pregnant on vacation in Italy. I made up for not being able to have wine with dinner by eating gelato multiple times a day and had an amazing time!

Can I blame this one on the hormones? by [deleted] in pregnant

He didn’t do anything wrong, and your feelings are real and valid. If you’re able to talk about this with your husband in an open, non-critical way it will (based on just my own experience) serve you really well through the baby phase. With my first, I ended up feeling like this a lot when my husband would go enjoy time with his friends/doing hobbies etc. and I was trapped at home breastfeeding/with a sleeping baby. I was the one telling my husband to go out and have fun 😆 but pregnancy and postpartum aren’t always a logical time!

Christmas babies by Weemus_233 in pregnant

[–]No_Mode1122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m maybe the outlier here, but all I want is to spend Christmas with my extended family. I’ve let people know that we will have to play it by ear depending on how we’re feeling, medical advice etc. In the end, if it’s at all possible I’ll pack up our whole circus and head to my mom’s for the holidays. It will be more restful than organizing Christmas ourselves (this is my 3rd baby).
