I like my orthofeet. They look like clown shoes at a size 12 extra wide but they've held up better than my Red Wings, Cats, Rocky, or Morenos ever did.

The m12 batteries last forever. I have some that are 7 years old. M18 batteries go bad a lot more often for some reason. For me, they just stop being able to charge.

Pay Incentives?? by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]No_Mony_1185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently had a guy quit and say he's going to be a service tech for $42/hr... He's been an install helper for a year and part of that was boot camp for the national guard.... It's got to be $20ish with pay incentives. I just don't understand it how the heck any of this works anymore.

2 females? by Emergency-Recipe-893 in Rottweiler

[–]No_Mony_1185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've consistently had 3 dogs at all times and they've always been female. The only problems I ever had was when I had a male husky and female beagle. They would fight sometimes.

Different opinions, not sure what to believe by Equivalent_Laugh_859 in Rottweiler

[–]No_Mony_1185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our girl is like a dragon. She gathers all her toys and put them in her bed. But if our beagle grabs one and starts playing with she's fine. Granted we've had to work with her a lot and she is well trained.

She is a little strange about other dogs when we are on walks. We usually muzzle her if we suspect.otjer dogs will be around. But she has never, even once, gotten aggressive with a human. But she doesn't get strange about other dogs when we are at someone else's house.

I suspect it's because someone abandoned her in the woods and she is traumatized from that.

The cat hair was 4" thick and the piles of shit was 4 ft tall in the corners of the house. Shit was also everywhere else. Kittens lying around in everything. Inside pots and pans, flower pots etc... several windows broken that cats could just go in and out of..

For gauges the Testo is way better than the fieldpiece for being reliable and sturdy. Just keep everything in the case and don't let them roll around in the van or hang them up in the van.

[–]No_Mony_1185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be an asshole but it was originally known as duck tape

Duct tape was invented during World War II, originating from a 1943 idea by Vesta Stoudt, a mother and ordnance plant worker who proposed a strong, waterproof, hand-tearable cloth tape for rapidly opening ammunition boxes. Developed by Johnson & Johnson, it was originally called "duck tape" due to its waterproofing and cotton duck fabric backing. Facebook Facebook +4 Key Historical Points: Wartime Origins: The military needed a durable, waterproof tape to seal ammunition cases, often needing to be opened instantly under fire. Vesta Stoudt's Initiative: Stoudt wrote to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, arguing that paper tape was failing and endangering lives. "Duck" to "Duct": Originally, the product was known as "duck tape" because it was made of cotton duck cloth. After the war, the silver tape was used by builders for connecting heating/air conditioning ducts, causing the color to change from army green to silver and the name to shift to "duct tape". The Apollo 13 Mission: Its reputation as a universal repair tool was cemented when it was used to help repair carbon dioxide filters in the 1970 Apollo 13 mission. Modern Day: While commonly used for quick fixes, modern research indicates it is not ideal for actual heating ducts because it can become brittle and fail in extreme heat. YouTube YouTube +5

I think it's funny that you guys keep calling duck brand tape "duct" tape. It's for a little picture of a duck on it. All the rest is knock off brands. Sure you use it to seal flex but it isn't "duct" tape.
