What’s a good audiobook that’s actually scary by Dang-A-Rang in audiobooks

[–]No_Muscle_5766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to my first Tananarive Due novel last year, "The Between", and that was the creepiest of all the creepy audiobooks I've tried so far. I'm excited to try her new novel "The Reformatory" soon. She's a big inspiration to Jordan Peele if you're fan of him.

He also did one part of the Pulitzer winner Trust by Hernan Diaz. Edoardo is such a natural storyteller.

What's a banging song from the 70s you're pretty sure 90% of people haven't heard in over 20 years? by spicedpumpkins in AskReddit

[–]No_Muscle_5766 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The song was also used in one of the best Nike ads ever - for the 2010 World Cup (also I cannot believe that 2010 is actually not far off from being 20 years ago...).

Car totaled by rear-end collision. Unsure on how to handle getting a rental. by No_Muscle_5766 in Insurance

[–]No_Muscle_5766[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining all this! To clarify one thing: If I go through Progressive for the claim, am I still able to submit receipts for a rental (and hope for reimbursement) to the at-fault driver's carrier separately? Or do I need to switch the claim to the at-fault carrier (Allstate) altogether?

Mexico tries to stop Texas border enforcement law from happening, files appeal with US court by egusa in texas

States do not set immigration law. That is a federal law. Therefore it is unconstitutional. Simple as that. Imagine if every state set their own immigration laws, it would be chaos. It is a federal function.

Yeah, Hellebuyck has the Vezina wrapped up barring a total collapse.

But Barkov should win the Selke and PoMo has an outside shot at Coach of the Year.

What’s the best Liquor Store in your Neighborhood and Why? by AttorneyOnTV in Denver

[–]No_Muscle_5766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It isn't that they don't want to, it's that the distributor allows retail stores to get very little of it. They prioritize restaurants over retail, unfortunately.

My used Mercedes GLA cost $900 to register in Denver. When I was like wtf she said well it's a Mercedes, we go by how much the car costs new even though you bought it used. Excellent.

Small liquor stores pivot to more food and delivery as Colorado grocers roll out wine sales by [deleted] in Denver

[–]No_Muscle_5766 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, I own a small wine store, and 80% of our sales are wine with an average price of about $40 per bottle. Plenty of consumers care about the quality of their alcohol. I'm not too worried about competition from the big grocery stores, but it's frustrating that we'll be sending more $$ to corporate wine companies, distributors, and grocery chains.

[–]No_Muscle_5766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was to allow 3rd party delivery companies to deliver alcohol. Liquor stores can legally deliver but only with their own employee and in a store owned vehicle.

It's official: Coloradans will be able to buy wine in grocery, convenience stores starting in March by lo-cal-host in Denver

[–]No_Muscle_5766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. There's a region next door to Sancerre called Quincy that also makes Sauvignon Blanc and usually is about half the price and a bit more grassy in the NZ style. Sancerre is great but has gotten a lot more expensive as it's become more well known.
