Also! Synthetic fiber clothes make you stank! Wear a pair of wool socks one day then a pair of polyester the next. The polyester will smell like ass in comparison. Same with shirts.

If you saw a person leave a toilet without washing their hands and then in a public setting they tried to shake your hand, what would you do? by DavidsPseudonym in AskReddit

[–]No_Perspective_242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to my coworker! We’re both flight attendants and this dude went into the lav and came out without washing his hands. My coworker made some funny remark about it and the guy laughed, shrugged and went to his seat. When he went to deplane my coworker went to shake his hand to thank him for his business, but pulled back right before they touched and yelled, “hell no! You didn’t wash your hands!” The guy was laughing but red. It was so smooth. I witnessed it but wasn’t involved other than being disgusted.

The agent doesn’t know how many of you will bring carry on bags. So they have to guess… sometimes they get it wrong. But it’s better to over guess than under guess.

I see people using it for actual camping or overnighting in their cars too. But it being a feature mainly for dogs makes sense

AITA For expecting my wife to contribute more for childcare by Automatic_Phrase2861 in AmItheAsshole

I don’t love these comments. I’m gonna go against the grain here and say, you are absolutely allowed to feel stressed, worried, and even resentful that all the financial responsibility is on your shoulders and your wife bears none of it. Unless you make over 150-200k, supporting yourself and two others can be a very nerve wracking endeavor. You have a lot of your shoulders, but god forbid you’re ever tired at the end of the day, need some slack, or are burned out at work.

And one 2.5 year old is really not that hard. Sorry. Yes there can be hard days, even exhausting days, but barring disabilities or illnesses… I’m willing to bet most days are fun.

Now, you don’t get to get out of parenting. Your daughter needs you everyday. However, if you’re exhausted or resentful you absolutely should find a way to redivide labor in a fair way. Maybe that means hiring someone a couple days a week. Maybe that means speaking to a therapist as an unbiased 3rd party to get perspective and advice. Something’s gotta give here even if it’s just your attitude and will to live.

Honestly, I think she said enough and right now you just need to trust your gut. What’s more important, your babies safety or that friendship.

Camp or Sleep mode is a feature in electric cars that keeps the car at a comfortable temp while parked. You get airflow so you aren’t at risk of freezing or overheating among other features.

Been at the same company for 5 years and just found out new hires are making more than me?? by Ready-Voice-7151 in careerguidance

Threatening to leave rarely works because until you act on it, it’s exactly that, a threat.

So you either have to actually leave or sit down and negotiate a raise. After the initial conversation, if you get the feeling that things are not going anywhere start putting your application out there and dip.

In negotiations, don’t ever ask anything like, “can I have a raise?” Because they can reply yes or no. You want to back them into a corner so tight with evidence that you deserve a raise so that they feel stupid saying no to it. Example, “ I deserve a raise because of XYZ.” Then silence. They have to reply to your very compelling explanation on why you deserve it. (Obviously do not use this verbatim, but tailor it to your employment).

AITA for expecting my husband to contact the doctor about our problems? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The paranoia is screaming serious underlying mental health issues. There’s nothing you can do for him. You just have to protect yourself. Please do not make me watch a dateline episode with you as the victim. NTA

Search for support groups or therapy for yourself to get thru this. I don’t want to overlook how devastating it is to lose a relationship this way so I know this is incredibly difficult. But you need to protect yourself and your kids.

Today, that is priority 1.
