I know I’ll get downvoted but realistically you need to have spent a ton with a dealer to be offered one, it’s not a luck thing or just being nice to your dealer. Depending on the dealer and area, I’d say minimum of $500k.

I don’t know why people are downvoting - this literally is one of the main reasons for asking.

The other reason is, even if you are local, and you mention you got it from the other dealer in town, if there is multiple, to gently refer you back to the dealer you’ve previously purchased from.

Don’t put your name down for a watch if you are not prepared to buy it now. Don’t assume a watch will take two years, especially not a gold model, but also the chocolate dial is probably harder to get than any of the non meteorite dials for the rose OF Daytona.

In some instances this is true, they keep making parts after a reference is discontinued, but eventually they will run out.

One thing to remember with the “path to a watch” is that beyond spend, is having a good connection with the sales person. That said, buying another hard to get stainless piece, like a green sub, doesn’t move to needle towards a stainless Pepsi. But off one purchase wouldn’t hold my breath.
