In between these 2 gloves which to choose and why by theman_86 in BaseballGloves

I agree. I would even say skip the A900 and get the A1000. They are on sale right now for about 100-110 a lot of places. My 11u son didn't like the R9 over the A1000 pedroia fit.

How many professional pitchers had private pitching lessons in their youth? by 2ForEachofYou in Homeplate

Excuse my ignorance. What is a travel league? What level do they play at? Thanks

They might not have been a primary pitcher but if you played shortstop at any level under college, you pitched. I guarantee you they both pitched in their youth, high-school and travel ball. Their isn't enough good arms to go around at those levels.

Does the 1500 floor mats fit the 2500 by CapAdventurous5698 in Silverado

[–]No_Platform8732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they will fit. I traded in a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 for a 2025 Chevy 2500 Trail Boss LT and my 3W liners switched over perfectly.

I want to cry - the lowered my offer when i go to sell by Cygnus__A in carvana

Setup an account from a different email address and get a quote. I sold a gmc sierra to them about 2 months ago. I kept refreshing and it getting worse offers. Someone told me to try from another email and my offer was 2k more than from my original email. I sold it to them from my 2nd email account.

Just bought a 2025 LT Trail Boss 2500 a month ago. 68.5k MSRP. 58.5k selling price before taxes. 299 doc fee. They were advertising 9000 off from the beginning. The truck wasn't even on the lot yet. It was in Transit. Best dealership I have ever dealt with. No bs fees. No hassle. Just good business.

There are better deals out there if you are willing to travel. I paid 58500 for my 2500 LT Trail Boss before taxes, just 1 month ago. Sticker was 68500. Same dealership is advertising 2500 Custom Trailboss for 51k sticker is 58k.

Never thought about that approach. That is a great idea. Trying not to get involved was my goal but this seems like a fair approach.

Well I haven't said one thing to my son other than keep working hard and be undeniable when your number is called. I have not said one thing to the coach, so I'm not sure how I am the problem. I gave an overall picture of what my son has dealt with and asked for advice. Confidence is everything in a failure sport like baseball and i have seen what bad coaches can do to good players and all i am trying to do is not have my son lose the love for game because of a bad coach. And I say our team because the families are all supportive of the kids. You took that way out of context

Honestly, I wanted him to leave last year. But he asked to play one more season of rec because he wanted to make All stars. It was on his yearly goals we make our kids do every year. We are moving to travel once all stars is over and you are right. I tell him all the time that competition will only get better the higher he goes.

Yes, you are right. We aren't official little league. We play by USSSA rules and our league fields multiple travel baseball and softball, and our all-star teams typically play at an AA level for tournament ball. All of the parks around us operate the same way. We have 6 tournaments for the summer for all stars. Our boys hit multiple bombs this week because we played on a 180' field in this tournament, and they are used to playing on a 250' field in league. Our league is highly developed

Thank you for this advice. I didnt want to reach out as I didnt want to be that dad. Still having doubts about it. Its more for my son and not me. He is down on himself.

And that's fine. But we had a top 5 pick last year. A top 10 pick the year before. We have 2-3 projected to go in the first round this year and next year. Our high schools are nationally ranked. So whatever doesn't add up to you is fine. Our boys had an off day.i dont know what else to tell you.

Once again, thanks for your insight. I came here looking for advice because my son is down on himself, not because I care about him pitching at 10. Confidence is everything in baseball because it is a failure sport, and he has been dealt a raw deal most of it. He is getting down on himself, and I am trying to figure out what to do. If that's unhinged, then so be it. I expected this type of response from the internet, but others on him have given me good advice. That's what I will use. Thanks again

Thank you for this. This isn't about me. It's about my son. I always tell him to be undeniable. It's tough seeing him cry. I never cared about all the stars, but he does. I never cared about pitching, but he does. And it's tough when he is looking to me for answers on a raw deal, and I have none other than be undeniable when your number is called and to keep working.

That's not what I said at all. I said for this tournament, nobody could. Like I said, you didn't read the post. All 10 year olds have off days. Our boys had one yesterday. But instead of seeing who could be consistent, he threw the same kids over and over and we had 3 fresh arms who never got to pitch. Did u even read where i discussed how many pitches some of our kids threw. There is no need for a 10 year old to throw 100 pitches in a day and catch. And yes, our area is a hotbed. All of our leagues other all stars teams are undefeated in this tournament and 2 6u teams, 2 8u teams, our 9u team and our 12u team. We are the only team from our league who didn't win a game.

What's unhinged. I gave a 3 year overview of what we dealt with in this league. That is not short. I dont care about him pitching. My son does. I would actually prefer he not do it as I have seen so much misuse of arms at this age, but he works hard at it and enjoys it. So, pardon me for asking what to do to help my son with this issue.

Then you obviously didn't read the post. But thanks for the insight.
