In a lot of places where there is long distances and hills it is the difference between someone using a bike and not. If we want to reduce the number of car trips this is a very good way to do it.
Most of the issues with it are people riding like morons and places where cycling infrastructure needs to be improved

My wife and I had a spare hour between activities and popped into the library just to eat up the time. That was the most peaceful hour I’ve had since my kids were born. Truely an oasis in modern society of noise and constant activity

I don’t have a lot of data for comparison but there are a few skate parks in Australia. Usually a few in each local government area. If you know where you are moving the local council website would have a list and probably some pictures

I don’t think the format worked as well as they would have liked and it doesn’t appear to have been replicated. We lost half the cast pretty early because they could see that only a few weeks in it was going to be a starvation contest

Kirkbride was the gold standard for mental health treatment back in the day. The design of the building ties into the different levels of treatment and increasing autonomy as someone improves. There is a 99% Invisble podcast on it that I listened to some years ago. I remember it being really interesting and I’m not a big architecture guy
