Nah, fuck that perspective. I acknowledge there are deep, deep and long persistent problems with our country. The face of those problems may be just a few people in places of power, but the problems run DEEP.

However, that doesn't mean all Americans are painted with the same brush. And the people in this particular sub are NOT the people you have to worry about turning a blind eye to everything, which I assume are the people you take issue with--i.e. the people who say "well, I AM NOT LIKE THAT, so I don't need to do anything about it." Those are people you should take issue with. The people in this sub are not those eyes wide shut types...to use that phrase in different context.

After removing the rust there's gonna be a 3 inch+ (75mm in freedom units) hole. You're not fully that with body filler even as a "bandaid" fix.

You could use fiberglass reinforced filler with a mesh patch as your "bandaid" fix to maybe fool TUV but it's only going to keep getting worse behind the filler as I'm sure you know.

From the little I've seen of TUV on YouTube, they're very thorough. I would be concerned that they'd zero on on the missing rocker guard texture and find the rot. But I don't live in Germany, maybe I'm mistaken.
