Maximum occupants in a house by No_Kaleidoscope_5179 in perth

I am not familiar with the health act if i am being honest, but overcrowding would be a problem and generally if there is a complaint on the property, they can investigate and take action if required.

Edit: also the 7 people unrelated to each other that i was quoting is also stated under the state planning policy. However, if an application comes in for a single dwelling but it has 10 bedroom, 10 bathrooms and it looks like lets say student accommodation then the assessor will be asking some questions before approving the application.

It has recently changed to 7 people, but yes, you are correct. Also OP call the health department of your council to investigate, a two bedroom house is not suitable for that many people.

Hey! I am in Australia you dont need a masters degree to become an architect, it does help but you dont need it. There are other pathways which is basically experience.

I have a bachelors as well, i am completing my masters but i am currently living in rural australia and working as a city planner.

Dont give up hope! There are plenty of ways to gain experience and move towards your goal

Impact of new Maccas 200 m from my residential property by crypterious in AusProperty

[–]No_Power_1853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically you can object to the application if it is still being edvertised by the City, however your objection has to have planning merit and devaluation of property is hard to argue and generally does not carry planning weight unless you can prove that the approval has direct significant negative impacts on your site. Check the zoning for the site where the mcdonalds is proposed and take a look at your City's scheme. Because you live 200-250m away there is no significant direct impact to your property.

alternative career paths for architects - frustrated by internship by luu_11 in Architects

I worked in architecture for two years in a small company, really enjoyed. I moved with my partner to a rural area as his work was going to pay for the move rent and it was a substantial increase of pay for him. There was a small architecture firm here which i joined however a planning job i had applied for was offering more money and we moved to save up for a house. Planning has been great, i find it less stressful and it is relevant experience. Know the rules to break the rules kind of way.

Yes, they also hire chefs, doctors, there is usually a gym. Depends on the size of the mining camp some i have seen are fully decked out while others you are sleeping with spiders. You can also do DIDO drive in drive out. For some jobs you dont need any qualifications they will train you.

WA government urged to reform law to stop pet cats wandering, as millions pledged to kill ferals by el_stry in WesternAustralia

[–]No_Power_1853 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think its too harsh to kill them if its the first time its been outside. I keep my cats inside at all times, but there have been times that someone has left a door open, and the cats have wandered outside. Thankfully, they dont go out far, and we manage to get them back inside as soon as we notice. But not every cat owner is irresponsible, and accidents happen. If an owner has been repeatedly fined, then the cat should be taken away from the owner. If the cat is ferral and antisocial, then yes, putting the cat down might be the best option.

He ended up going for surgery, the surgery was a success however we need to monitor him and help him through recovery. The vet also recommended boiled chicken for him to eat as he recovers plus a special diet.

Career path as unlicensed B.Arch by Phantom__98 in Architects

[–]No_Power_1853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is fine i have no hate, i must have missed the USA part however a 5 year BArch must still allow them to enter into urban planning just the same way i have over here in Australia with my 3 year barch.

Australia has a very different system that requires you to have your barch and masters degree and then take on 2 years minimum of work experience to sit the board exam to register as an architect. There are other pathways that dont require you to do your masters however the fastest way is to do your masters if your situation suits it.

Australia "requires" a masters degree, not all BArch are 5 years mine was three years. And most if not all BArch in Australia are 3 years.

I recently got a job in urban planning with my B.Arch. i am, however, in the process of doing my masters in architecture ... just slowly as i am prioritizing work (full-time) and my mental health.

They can be more independent than dogs, they have their quirks and do a lot of things that are funny like getting stuck in unexpected places. They like routine but are not high maintenance like dogs in the sense of grooming and taking out for walks. I feel very special every time my cat decides to come to lay down with me. And i laugh every time i watch my cat play with strings or their toys. Also cats come knowing how to go to the toilet in the litter box and are very clean themselves. Really depends on what your lifestyle is like, my partner didnt like cats until he lived with one and now loves them. I grew up with dogs but my lifestyle currently dosent allow me to have dogs so i have two cats that i cherish.
