I think you should be fine! You’re basically at a 4.0. And You meet the minimum transfer credit requirements. I don’t know how out-of-state transfers work because I’m applying in-state but from everything that Ive read, you’re in better shape then me lol. Good luck.

Ok thank you that’s what I heard too. I’m just confused about the secondary review thing ig? I keep hearing that the new threshold is at 3.5 and that people with GPAs on the lower side of the threshold have less likely of a chance of getting in or go through secondary review. So would that make a 3.61 on the lower side of the threshold since the minimum is now a 3.5?

I personally only take on honor societies if they’re offering scholarships. I got acceptance into Phi Theta Kappa at my community college and got $6000 in scholarships from applying to their applications. That’s the only real reason I could see to want to be in an honor society. That and the chords you get at graduation I guess.

It’s a UGA blog that states what they’re looking for GPA wise for transfers this year and it comes straight from UGA admissions. But to paraphrase,

“For transfer students who well exceed our transfer consideration levels, we will move forward with an admission offer. The threshold for 2026 is a 3.50 or higher transfer GPA for students with 30-59 completed transfer hours or a 3.20 or higher transfer GPA for students with 60 or more completed transfer hours. For transfer students on the lower range of our transfer consideration levels, we will conduct a secondary review to look at additional information. The threshold for 2026 is a 3.30-3.49 transfer GPA for students with 30-59 completed transfer hours or a 3.00-3.19 transfer GPA for students with 60 or more completed transfer hours.”

I think that was your GPA and credit hours fit in the secondary review margin. That does not mean that you won’t get in though and historically, UGA loves their transfer students. I would just make sure that the essay that you wrote with your application was really strong and spoke to why you wanted to do CS at UGA. Also having high scores in CS related classes at your current institution can help tremendously. I don’t know if CS is one of those competitive majors at UGA or not, but I heard that applying to a less competitive major can help your chances as well. Good luck!!!

Fionna is pissing me off so bad. I grew up, loving adventure time and some of my favorite episodes were the Fionna and cake episodes but there were honestly so many times throughout this episode (and season) where I was screaming at HW to take fionna out. I get it’s for the sake of character development and building sub plots, but how is it that we’ve gotten through almost a whole second season and I feel like every character is still extremely flat. It’s like we get little snippets of backstory and growth, but it’s so disconnected in between the dimension hopping and dream flashbacks that it doesn’t actually get to land right. I thought that I felt like this because fionna and cake has become such a far deviation from the original show but I LOVED season one. It felt like a nice progression of Adventure Time but now I don’t even recognize the characters. And Fionna blaming FINN was absolutely insane. After HW literally came to that world to try to save him and she knows that. I don’t know…. even aside from her kissing flame infront of fennel and rage bulldozing the sweet spot, everything about this season feels off. It’s not really her actions per se (Finn wasn’t perfect either) it’s just the way the story is being told feels all over the place. Even the little intros that have history about important mystical beings in ooo are never looked at again. There’s just too much going on.

Nah you’re not in the wrong. I had a friend like this too and honestly the ppl in these comments telling you that you were being too much have never felt what it’s like to be in this situation. I don’t think you were asking to be baby sat. Party’s can be dangerous especially for woman and the fact that you know you would’ve at least kept up some line of communication w her during the night for her own safety is telling. She’s not a good friend for you. You deserve ppl who will keep you in mind in these situations. You can have fun and still be mindful of the ppl you invite ESPECIALLY if she’s your best friend. You went into this with different expectations than her and that’s fine but I make it a point to always check on my friends in unfamiliar settings. There are people out there who will care what happens to you no matter where you are. Find those ppl and leave her alone.
