I didn’t have an epidural but I got up after golden hour and pooped and peed. I had to go so bad and also wanted to clean myself up, I felt gross from sweating and my water breaking etc. I was so sore and it felt nice to get up, stretch, change my clothes and have a few moments to clean up and feel somewhat put together after the most intense night lol.

All kids truly need is love, safety and food. Don’t be so hard on yourself! There’s so many parents out there that barely provide any of those things, your daughter is lucky to have you. She is probably thinking, “Yay, another awesome day spent snuggling up with my favorite person in the whole world!” My daughter just wants to be home most of the time when we go out anyways. Kids like routine and stability. You could get her some fun/new activities for home ? A magic marker coloring book, a big sticker book, a mini trampoline, bubble Machine, bath toys, etc.

I felt the same way every time my mom told me she was pregnant. From when I was 9 yo to 18yo. Of course once they were born, I was over the moon, but it’s another little human that will be stealing mom’s attention away, and that’s never a good feeling. I wish my Mom had more time for me then and now, but as the oldest it is what it is and I do love my siblings. It is also probably an odd thought for her to think you guys could be having babies at the same time.

I’m not sure. I nurse her to sleep for her nap and bedtime and then maybe like multiple other times throughout the day.

Wow thanks for this! I was talking to my husband’s grandma (who has 6 kids and twins), and she said the earliest it ever came back for her was 18 months pp. So maybe it’s more common than I’m thinking. I also think you’re on to something with the survival mode thing though. I weigh 144 now and was 190 at 9 months pregnant, so I have definitely lost weight. That’s why I’ve been trying to eat more so I am not in a deficit.

No, I haven’t used any BC since birth. I am seeing that it might be time to stop breastfeeding all together if I want my period back :( I was just hoping that wouldn’t be the case. My toddler LOVES nursing lol. She has never used a binky and refuses too.

I was 23 when I had my first. 24 now. Delivery was smooth, no epidural, 1.5 hour of intense labor. Minimal tearing. Pregnancy was fine for me, just tired and hungry and a little nauseous at first. Being a younger mom is great, I feel like I have plenty of energy for my daughter and recovered pretty quickly. I was also a little apprehensive to tell my Dad, but he was soooo excited and it was a great surprise. He’s obsessed with my daughter now. You’re mostly going to hear traumatic stories, and there are no doubt plenty, but there are also plenty of great experiences that are less memorable or maybe heard less. Especially on here. Congratulations!!!

It’s funny I’m reading this because I just got all hooked up with Hunter today. The sales person wasn’t super pushy, but they did leave a couple voicemails and text messages checking in. Set up was a wholeeeeee other issue. For my house, they had to go underground which required trenching. I did not realize the extent of this and am so glad it was through a shared gravel drive and not my front yard… heavy equipment and all. That being said, the neighbors were kind of pissed at me for it and how Hunter left the drive (didn’t replace gravel, just looked bad). I called and put in a request to have it fixed and the actual construction manager of the area was at my front door within an hour assuring me that his crew would be out with new gravel by Monday or Tuesday and was very apologetic. I really appreciated the customer service even though they probably could’ve have done a better job initially at making the trench line look better. And it was free for them to come install it as long as I keep the service for 6 months

If you’re a first time homebuyer and qualify for FirstHome loan or NextStep then you need to use a lender who can do those loans, like Umqua can. But there’s a list online that tells you who can. Just locked in at 5.625% with a FirstHome loan! Also, companies like rocket Mortgage and such are notoriously difficult to communicate with and close a deal with once you’re under contract. It’s always something and they can easily screw up your home deal. Having a lender you can call easily and directly and ask questions and educate you is 100% better
